Under the light of a
full moon and lurking in the restless waves of the deep blue sea, someone or something
watches a ship cutting through the dark waters.
Insurance fraud investigator Kate Hargrove is looking into
the disappearances of women from a cruise line. She soon “disappears” herself
when pulled undersea by a giant sea creature. Now, this beauty is trapped
beneath the sea with a desperate beast.
100 years ago, Thaddeus Ryker was cursed and banished to the
ocean depths. He has only three more days to find someone to love him in his
monstrous half man/half sea creature state or he’ll spend eternity as a monster
of the sea.
When her terror subsides, Kate realizes she’s both attracted
to and repulsed by Thaddeus. As she gets to know him, she discovers a sexy,
haunted man. Can she learn to love him – a monster – in just three days?

Becca, now that is a true Beauty and the Beast tale. Love the cover! Did you have to do research about the ocean? How did you decide to make your heroine an insurance investigator?
Thanks, Kayelle! I did some research about the ocean. It helped that my son was doing a paper about giant squids while I wrote this book. :)
As for the insurance investigator role...I originally came up with the idea for this story when I read a news article about mysterious disappearances from cruise ships. My imagination took over and my story was born. I asked myself what kind of job the heroine could have that would lend itself to this story. Thus, she became an insurance fraud investigator, looking into these disappearances.
Happy Release Day, Becca! Sounds like a wonderful book. Wishing you many sales.
Becca, congrats! Cool ocean-deep concept. Mucho sales.
Now that's a great way to combine details of a story!
Sounds like a terrific premise, Becca!
