Book 4, A Quick Series Novel

A steamy Navy SEAL, billionaire heroine romantic suspense.

With danger at every turn, can this Navy SEAL protect the woman he's vowed to rescue, as well as his heart?

Roberto Cahill is all too familiar with difficult missions, but this particular one is proving to be the most challenging. Struggling to fit back into civilian life after retiring as a Navy SEAL, he started his own private investigation company, charging a small fortune to find people and their secrets. Recently hired by the wealthy McAllister brothers, finding their long-lost sister should be an easy assignment, right? Wrong. Skyler McAllister is one tough woman who's on the run for her life. She has the smarts, skills and funds to keep herself on the move, and no matter how hard Rob tries, she always seems to be one step ahead of him. Can Rob find her before whoever's chasing her does? Can he deliver her to her brothers and out of harm's way without letting the green-eyed vixen with a stubborn streak get captured? Or will letting his guard down be his most dangerous assignment of all?

Skyler McAllister is on the run. She knows too much and the men who murdered her boyfriend want her dead, too. With her late father's inheritance funding her travels, and her skills forging passports helping her change her name and identity, she's managed to stay under the radar and one step ahead of the bad guys. Only she lets her guard down when sexy, smooth-talking Cahill crosses her path. Not only do his kind eyes make her want to trust again, find a connection and someone to hold onto, but she finds herself falling for him. Only, she hasn't trusted a soul in so long, it doesn't come easily anymore and she struggles to let Rob in.

However, trust is the only way they'll survive. With their lives endangered, can Skyler risk trusting a man again, particularly one who could so easily take her heart, then possibly walk away forever?

Excerpt

“I see … ” She swallowed.
“Asshole, pussy, I can have them both, together or separate and in any way I choose. And she just gets to lie there and lose her fucking mind over and over again.”
Skyler took another sip of her arak. “You’re … ”
“Disgusting?” he asked with a smirk. “Perhaps. But I’d bet every penny your brothers are paying me that you’re wet as fuck right now.”
He watched as she shifted where she sat, rubbing her thighs together before uncrossing and re-crossing her legs. She gave her legs a small squeeze and shut her eyes for half a second from how good that touch of friction must have felt.
He couldn’t get over the level of satisfaction he got from turning a woman on so entirely with just his words. He could probably write erotic romance and make a killing.
“What I do may disgust you, but I also know it turns you on, or at the least the idea of it all turns you on something fierce.”
She shook her head. She wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of knowing how turned on she was. Too late. He could read most people like a book within minutes of meeting them. And she was no different. The vein in her neck was pulsing on overdrive, and her breathing had grown ragged, not to mention those damn nipples, which were trying to pierce their way through her bikini. Water filled his mouth at the thought of seeing her pink, puckered nubs. They were probably just screaming to be sucked.
“You’re pretty full of yourself,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest, which just pushed her awesome rack up and out even more, giving her the most fuckable cleavage ever.
“You might be a walking, talking sex god, Roberto Cahill, but you’re also a cocky prick, and no bit of dirty talk and random bits of Spanish are going to work on me.”
He lifted one shoulder. “Okay.”
Her arms fell to her side, and the look on her face was priceless. Had she been expecting him to beg her? He didn’t beg. Ever.
She was also a shitty liar. He noticed, as soon they’d started on this vein of conversation, that her pupils had grown wide, narrowing that stunning sea of green.
“If you’re finished your drink, I can make you another, or you’re welcome to just sit here and we can continue chatting. Perhaps about a topic not so … ” He pinned his gaze on her crossed legs and stifled a chuckle. “Arousing.”
“Fuck you,” she whispered, though he could tell she was just playing now.
“You already said there was no chance of that.”
A growl bubbled up from her chest, and she glared at him as French words he was sure were not kind fell quietly off her plump lips.
“Consent is huge for me, querida. If you want something, you’re going to have to pull up,” the corner of his mouth crooked up, “or down, your big girl panties and come out and ask for it. Because I don’t play head games. I play. Boy, do I know how to play. But not head games. Right? We had this conversation already. Say what you mean and mean what you say.”
Her mouth drew down into a frown. She finished her drink and knitted her hands together in her lap. “I’m tired of not … ” She exhaled. “I’m just so tired.”

He bet she was. Tired of running. Tired of hiding. Tired of not knowing who she could trust. Tired of not living with her own name and identity. He’d be tired too.

Excerpt:

Syneca Drew stood on his balcony overlooking the hillside. He had been sleeping rather peaceably for a change when he felt something unfamiliar; it woke him. He could still feel the presence, her. He caught glimpses of her, dreamed of touching her, but he could never find her. Soon it would be too late. He let a deep roar leave his throat.

He jumped onto the thick, wide banister and looked around at his domain. The mountain peaks, three of them, four if you included his, were the homes of his brothers. The low valleys were overripe with foliage, the river running through it kept it all alive. Without a thought, he dove off the balcony.
The change ripped through him. His human body fell away as his new body took over. The wings he loved so much beat against the air causing him to rise high into the sky. He soared in the warmth of the sun. Home. One he would soon lose. His dragon snarled at the thought of what was to come, beating at him for not finding their mate. He pushed the thought aside as he glided on the air allowing the current to soothe him.

He looked over to see his brother, Maceo, staring at him. Maceo wouldn’t bother him because he knew flying was the only relief Syn enjoyed nowadays. He rolled over on his back briefly giving him an incredible view of the sun as it rode the sky as a lover, turning over he swooped down, scaring the wild animals before ascending once again. He laughed to himself, having fun. Soon all of this would be over because he couldn’t find her. He took one last casual tour of the land and turned towards his balcony.

His dragon fought him. He wanted to go off in search of their mate. Syn fought back knowing it was useless. They searched the world over more than once, never finding her. Why would they suddenly find her at the end of their life? His dragon became more insistent as the days went on and the male became more apathetic. He forced his dragon to land.

Excerpt

“Care to talk about it?”
He shook his head. “I’d rather do something else.” He scooped her up in his muscles and carried her up the beach. She looped her arms around his neck and finally allowed her body to relax. Despite the fact that they were stranded on an island, she felt safe. Even if just for this moment, she was safe in Rob’s arms. And at least she wasn’t alone, finally. It had been ages since she’d shared more than a genuine minute with someone, and she couldn’t imagine anyone she’d rather be stranded with than the sexy Navy SEAL who was carrying her up the beach to their bed of palm fronds.
The moon shone bright against the water, causing the night to seem far less dark than it was. Less scary. But even if the sky was a blanket of clouds and dark as pitch, Skyler wouldn’t be scared with Rob. He was a protector. He was her protector.
When they reached the makeshift bed, he knelt down and gently placed her on the leaves. His eyes seared her skin as they raked her from head to toe. She nibbled on her bottom lip and let her gaze travel the long, hard length of him. He hadn’t bothered to shave, and the stubble gripping his chin and cheeks was darker and thicker than that first day he walked into the dive shop. Into her life.
“You’re beautiful,” he murmured, tracing a lone finger down the side of her arm. She trembled beneath his touch, longing for him to do it again, to move his hand farther down and do it more. Touch her more.
“So are you,” she breathed, reaching for him.
His mouth turned up into a wily grin as he covered her body, pinning her beneath him.
“Quick and dangerous, huh?” he asked. Their noses touched and he rocked against her.
“Well, I hope it’s not that quick.” She chuckled. “But why not feel and live as we run for our lives?”
His arousal pressed hard and needy into her hip as he rocked against her again. “Oh, querida, it won’t be quick, that I can guarantee.”
His mouth fell against hers and his tongue swept inside, demanding and powerful. She moaned against him, opening for him and lifting her lips up to meet his. There really wasn’t much fabric between them. She was in a bikini and he was in board shorts. It would take nothing for them to be in nothing.
Oh how she wished they were in nothing.
Rob’s hand came up to her neck and around the back of her head. His fingers gripped her hair at the nape and tugged. Pain and pleasure zinged through her, making her feel more alive, more in the moment than she had in ages. The man knew just how to make her burn, what she needed before she knew she needed it. He unhooked the clasp of her bathing suit at the base of her neck and then the second clasp at the center of her back.
He relieved her of her top, tossing it to the side, and wasted no time dropping his wet, hot mouth to her nipple. Rob drew the hard, tight bud into his mouth and tugged. Skyler arched into him, greedy for more. He palmed the other breast and pinched the nipple, pulling it between thumb and forefinger, earning a low groan from the back of Skyler’s throat. She dug her fingers into his scalp, pushing his head down onto her breast and demanding more.
He gave her more.
His teeth scissored over her aching peak, making all the blood rush to her chest and her pulse race.
Yes.

The Dragon's Mate

Book One

Blurb:

Kisame was an explorer fighting to explore The Interior, a part of their world that was off limits. This was where the last war happened; it destroyed their lives and their past. She wanted to understand what happened there. She was taught like everyone else it was aliens that came to their planet, although she never believed that history. Finally, she was going to be allowed to explore the forbidden.

Rilan was in hibernation. One day he was the ruler of the most powerful empire on Terra, now he was asleep. A presence he never felt before touched something deep within him waking him up. The pain and anguish he felt waking to an empty world held him in its grip, until he saw her.

Kisame realizes she walked into a conspiracy older than the war that had been fought. Rilan realized that his people were suppressing and denying their ability to shift into their dragon forms. A battle would be fought, but it would begin with them learning that there was no future unless the two of them allowed love to bring them together.

This time there may be another war brewing. If so, it meant death for all and not just the dragon shifters.

Excerpt:

She knew better than to touch something like this. Her father’s word about a mysterious disease rang through her head even as her hand hovered over one of the silver-green squares that she was drawn to. She laid her hand on one, the feeling of coolness tingled through her fingers. Scales, these had to be honest to goodness scales. Who made a tapestry with them? What kind of scales were they?

She could feel the thickness, but they were also smooth. She imagined the ocean caressing them every day for years to be this smooth. A sense of giddiness went through her as she began to caress the green scales. She never noticed that she never touched a different color. She could spend the rest of her life researching with joy what kind of animal belonged to these scales. Wait until she brought it back. Her father would be forced to acknowledge her. Dreams of prestige and her father’s love gathered in her head while she continued to caress the scales. She missed the heat and the first pulse as if the tapestry was coming alive.

“What the hell,” she murmured as the heat continued to grow under her hands. The tapestry moved as if it was breathing. She stumbled a few feet backward just barely remaining standing when the tapestry came to life. A form she had never seen before burst through it.

It tossed her backward this time she ended up on her behind. Out came a dragon. She shook her head not a dragon, they didn’t exist. The correct term for this dragon was a wyvern, not that dragons existed. His scales were green with hints of silver at the tips. They shimmered in the fast receding light of day. It coiled its body before coming at her.

Kisame crabbed walked back using her feet and hands trying desperately to put space between them. It caught up with her hovering over her while she stopped. Fear tried to clog her lungs making the air she had rattle around for space to exhale. The large body lowered caressing her from knee to breast.
“Omg, it wants to sleep with me.” Her words came out in a rush as tears gathered in the corners of her eyes. She was about to become the incubator for little dragon children that would tear her apart and eat her after being born.

There was male laughter in the room. She wanted to turn her head to find it, but she couldn’t take her eyes off the wyvern in front of her.

“You are funny mate.”

Blurb:

Welcome to Shadow Valley where the Dirty Angels MC rules. Get ready to get Down & Dirty because this is Crow’s story…

When a woman from his past shows up asking for his help, Crow’s not sure he can be the hero she’s looking for.

Crow, self-proclaimed bachelor biker, can’t believe his eyes when a woman from his past shows up at his tattoo shop. She not only needs him to cover up a scar created by a rival MC but is looking for a hero to help her heal and officially move on from a tragic incident. One that dragged her into the darkness against her will and extinguished her light for years. While willing to help, he’s not sure he can be everything she needs him to be. How can he help her when he hasn't even faced the demons that haunt his own past?

Six years ago, Jazz left Shadow Valley when a life-altering assault changed her outlook on the world—and men—forever. Now she’s back to deal with the scars, both physical and mental, left behind. While hoping Crow will help her with both, she’s afraid he won’t be willing. Crow always considered her too young, now she’s worried he only sees her as broken. However, Jazz knows there’s no one better than the long-time DAMC member to help her move on. Not only determined for her past to stop controlling her future, she needs to replace those memories with something better, while knocking down the barriers holding her back.

But will their age difference be the biggest obstacle of them all?

Note: While this book can be read as a standalone, because of storylines that span the series, it’s best to read them in order. It includes lots of steamy scenes, biker slang, cursing, some violence and, of course, an HEA. If you like alpha males who like to take charge, this book is for you.

Excerpt:
Chapter One

Crow heard the front door buzzer sound over the whine of his tattoo machine. He glanced up and his heart skipped a beat. Quickly pulling his boot off the foot pedal, he put the gun down on the tray before the straight line he was drawing became a wavy mess.
Holy fuck.
She was the last person he ever expected to walk into his shop.
He almost didn’t recognize her. She’d changed.
This was not the girl he knew. The person who stood just inside In the Shadows Ink was not the same woman he knew all those years ago.
Recognizable, but not.
He pushed to his feet and, before he could stop himself, took long strides across the shop floor, ignoring the complaints from the customer abandoned in his tattoo chair.
Crow never slowed as he approached her, even as her green eyes darkened, slightly widened and quickly filled with a little bit of uncertainty.
He ignored that, too.
When he got to her, he gathered her in his arms, crushing her against him tightly. She stiffened, her spine becoming ram-rod straight, her arms hanging like metal poles at her side. But he wasn’t letting her go.
Not yet.
He needed to hold her, make sure she was real.
He needed proof that she still existed, since he’d wondered if she’d disappeared forever.
Finally, a whimper came from the woman whose face he had shoved into his chest, inside his cut. His arms and black leather vest surrounded her slight body like the wings of a bird protecting its young.
Though, she was no baby bird.
Hell no, she wasn’t.
She was a survivor.
Her rigid body suddenly went soft, melted against him and she began to tremble. Her thin arms snaked around his waist under his cut and she squeezed him just as tightly as he did her, her fingers fisting in his T-shirt at his back. He pressed his face into her hair and closed his eyes.
He didn’t know why she was here. He didn’t care. All he knew was, she was home.
“Jasmine,” he murmured. And, fuck him, if he didn’t feel the sting of something caught in his eye. He blinked it clear.
“Hey!” his customer yelled. “Have your fucking touching reunion another time. I’m paying you to get this thing done today.”
Jazz jerked within his arms at those irritated words.
“That’s okay, Kachina, I got this,” he murmured into her hair. Without letting her go, he twisted his head and pointed his gaze to the man sitting in his plastic-wrapped chair. “I’m closed. Get gone.”
“But—”
“Didn’t fuckin’ stutter. Closed. Family emergency.”
“But—” the man sputtered.
“Wipe it down, keep it covered, keep it clean. A&D Ointment. Come back in two weeks, I’ll finish it on the house. Got me?”
“But—”
“Ain’t no buts.” Crow jerked his chin toward the door. “Out.”
With a grumble and a scowl, the man climbed out of the chair and nabbed his nearby T-shirt. Crow tracked him as he passed by, keeping Jazz’s face tucked against his chest.
“Two weeks,” the man said before heading out of the front door.
Crow gave him a sharp nod. “Two weeks. No charge.”
“Right.”
“Right,” Crow echoed him.
Once the door closed, Crow took a long, deep inhale and slowly let it out. Then he released her and held her out in front of him by her shoulders, so he could take a better look. “Kachina,” he murmured. “Baby.” While on the surface she looked okay, it didn’t mean she was.
Her blonde hair was now dark. Actually pitch black, making her fair skin look even paler.
He hated it.
She wore thick black mascara, and too much caked-on shit covered the natural beauty of her face.
He hated that, too.
But it was her eyes. Something she couldn’t change, couldn’t hide, that twisted his insides. Those formerly vibrant green eyes seemed hollow. Empty. Dull.
Nothing like when she was twenty-two. The last time he saw her. When she was Hawk’s house mouse. When she was a college student. Carefree.
Living the good life. Not a care in the world. Her whole future ahead of her.
That future had been kicked right in the fucking nuts.
Wrong place. Wrong time.
She had been collateral damage in a war that she had no business being a part of.
Yeah, she was DAMC because her grandfather was one of the oldest members who wasn’t in prison, or underground. But she never asked for any of it.
Her mother wanted better for herself and her daughter, so Jazz’s parents had moved hours away after she was born. Different town. Different state. Different life. Until they couldn’t afford their daughter’s college tuition.
So at eighteen, Jazz returned to Shadow Valley. Back to the club. Back to her grandparents so the club could cover the cost of her education.
What was supposed to help her turned out to hurt her instead.
And afterward, she returned home to New York. To heal. To hide. To forget.
He never thought she’d be back. No one ever thought she’d return.
She’d ignored everyone’s calls, texts, and emails for the past six years.
Every fucking one of them.
He wondered, why now? And why him?
