Running

I’ve been very busy and hectic lately. Basically running to get everything done. The reasons are very good and I’m making some strides to some changes that will take a while to implement. Although I’m busy I’m smiling as I am because I know what the end point will be once it is all done. :)

So my summer and foreseeable future months will be chock full of lots of hard work that will pay off big for my dream. I’m being deliberately vague because I’m keeping what I am up too quite until I am done.

Hope you all are having a great summer.

On the wild side...under the sea

This post originally appeared on Reading on the Wild Side.

by Becca Simone

Because my erotic novella, DEEP BLUE, is about a cursed sea monster, I thought it might be fun to explore famous sea monsters and myths throughout history.

Kraken—First on my list is the Kraken, a giant squid of mythical proportions, said to live off the coast of Norway and Greenland. These beasts are big enough to take down ships. Or so “they” say.  Its arms were/are long enough to reach the top mast of a sailing ship. It could capsize a ship by wrapping its arms around the hull. This legendary creature is probably what we know today as the giant squid. “On at least three occasions in the 1930's giant squids reportedly attacked a ship. While the squids got the worst of these encounters when they slid into the ship's propellers, the fact that they attacked at all shows that it is possible for these creatures to mistake a vessel for a whale.”  (http://www.unmuseum.org/kraken.htm) In movies, the Kraken has been shown in Clash of the Titans (1981) and more recently in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

Loch Ness monster—Of course, most of us have heard of the Loch Ness Monster, that supposedly inhabits the waters of the Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. There have been many sightings of the giant beast, but no definitive proof that it exists. The first reported sighting was in 565 AD by St. Columba. The scientific name for the Loch Ness Monster is a plesiosaur, which is a type of marine reptile. A fairly recent movies that dealt with this legend is 2007’s The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep.
MermaidsI think everyone is familiar with what a mermaid is, an aquatic creature with the upper body of a human female (a man is called a merman) and the lower body of a giant fish. According to Wikepedia, “In stories of mermaids, some would use their beauty and charm to lure sailor men to their deaths; sirens would use their singing to lure sailors toward rocks, causing their ships to sink.”  A popular movie portraying a mermaid is Splash, with Daryl Hannah and Tom Hanks.

Leviathan—It was quoted as a “great sea monster” in the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible. According to legend (http://mythicalrealm.com) , the Leviathan was a fire-breathing, dragon-like creature of such massive proportions that the sea “boils”  when it swims on the surface. Legend is that it is to blame for massive tsunamis. Leviathan was a sci-fi horror film made in 1989.

What is your favorite monster movie, sea monster or otherwise? Mine is probably Aliens, with Sigourney Weaver. Still creeps me out a bit when I watch it.

Music to Write By ~ Pat Cunningham

Originally posted at TITLE MAGIC.

Maybe it’s a result of growing up as part of the TV generation, but from the start I’ve always felt most comfortable writing to some form of music. Radio or records or just the TV, I need some noise going on in the background. Not only does it inspire character and plot and get me into the proper mindset for certain scenes, it takes my mind off the writing just enough that I don’t have to think about how crappy the words I chose are or how ridiculous the premise is. When you’re writing stuff like paranormal or science fiction or horror, sometimes you don’t want to pay too close attention to what you’re committing to paper, because one little flash of logic can make it all fall apart. If it wasn’t for background music, I’d probably never get anything done.

My tastes are pretty broad, so I can write to a number of musical genres. I’ve typed or longhanded to classical, heavy metal, Broadway musicals, movie soundtracks, and that electronic stuff that never quite caught on. Yes, even to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Everybody of a certain age has a copy of that in their closet, right next to Frampton Comes Alive. I usually trot out SNF when I want to annoy the neighbors. If they wanted to annoy me, they’d play rap. Fortunately they haven’t figured that out yet.

The radio works in a pinch. My preference is rock and its many sub-genres. A lot of rock stations these days have gone classic, which is perfect for writing because it’s so easy to ignore. How many times can you stand to hear “Stairway to Heaven” before you tune it out? I like variety, so I’ve found a station that plays a nice mix of old school and new stuff. It provides those flashes of nostalgia while keeping me up to date.

Some people claim lyrics are too distracting. I don’t have that problem. A human voice provides needed company while I spend all those hours alone at the keyboard creating fictional lives. Who pays attention to the lyrics anyway? Who can even understand the lyrics, if it’s Pearl Jam or Nirvana? The only thing I could never write to was Howard Stern. I’d get listening to him and lose my focus. Once he went to satellite, my production increased.

Like I said, the radio’s plan B. I have an extensive collection of vinyl from back in the Stone Age and a turntable that miraculously still works. I pull a couple albums out, fire up the stereo and I can go for hours. Plus I get regular breaks because I have to get up and flip the record over. Win-win.

For writing, I prefer movie soundtracks. The glory years of ‘80s blockbusters, when John Williams ruled supreme, are my favorites. Top of the list is a tie: Superman: the Movie and Conan the Barbarian (Arnold version, not the remake). Other favorites include Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Robocop, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Moonraker. These are lush, dramatic orchestral pieces with a mix of lyrical romantic movements and driving action music, so no matter what kind of scene you’re writing the matching track is bound to pop up if you wait for it. Classical music serves the same purpose, but soundtracks put it all in one place. The Williams soundtracks have the added advantage of being two-record sets. You can do a whole chapter to Star Wars or Empire. I never checked to see if I type faster during the action tracks. Probably.

If I’m in a different kind of mood I’ll write to soundtracks from musicals. I have a nice set ranging from South Pacific and Singin’ in the Rain to West Side Story and Grease (Broadway cast, not the movie). Or The Rocky Horror Picture Show. There’s a soundtrack you can write erotic M/M to. If the writing goes flat on you, you can always get up and dance.

I can use music to set the mood if I know I’ll be writing a particular type of scene. I used side 4 of Star Wars for the big Spielbergian climax to an apocalyptic fantasy I wrote. I did a fantasy story about a haunted police car with the Robocop soundtrack blasting in the background. It seemed appropriate. There’s a scene in my new one, Temptation and Tights, where Owen, who can fly, recreates the flying-with-Lois scene from Superman with his boyfriend Burke. He even hums the background music while they’re soaring over the city. I made sure that track was playing when I got to that scene.

In the ancient days of tape and cassettes I used to make my own novel soundtracks, drawing from a variety of sources. The songs followed the plots and emotional state of the characters. None of those books ever saw the light of day (thankfully), but listening to those old tapes can bring the whole book back for me. Maybe someday I’ll take another stab at those ideas, this time with the advantage of experience. I know those homemade soundtracks will be invaluable in getting me back to that mindset.

Writing as a profession is lonely enough without having to do it in silence. TV has taught me no action happens without some kind of music to set the mood. Even reality shows use background music to heighten the drama. I should mention that I can’t always write in front of the TV. I get watching the show, especially if the men on it are cute. Maybe I should turn my back on the set and just listen to it. Come to think of it, that’s probably the best way to watch TV anyway.

I couldn't help wanting a taste...
Oreo's, brownies, ice cream and hot fudge sauce.. the person that put all of
those into one dessert should be given a genius award or something.

I tried to find the perfect hand to feed this amazing creation to you, I hope
you'll agree with my choice.

Giveaway with guest author Randi Alexander

What is the Bro Code?
Hi, I'm Randi Alexander and I write cowboy and cowgirl erotic romance. I'm published with The Wild Rose Press, Cleis Press, and I'm also self-published. My newest release, Turn Up the Heat, is available now from The Wild Rose Press.
Thank you, Dawne, and all the rest of the badly behaved romance writers. It's a pleasure to be here today.
My hubby has a Kindle, and the first thing he does every morning before he gets out of bed is to look and see what the free app of the day is. He's gotten some really great ones, like the Peter Rabbit book that self-reads to the kids in a lovely British woman's voice. And an '80s music lyrics game that keeps us up far too late at night.
This week, I picked up his Kindle to check and see what other apps he's downloaded, and I found The Bro Code. "What?"
When you open it, it's a black screen with tiny little white writing - maybe so 'chicks' can't read it over a bro's shoulder?
Here's one: Bro Code 80 - A Bro shall make every effort to aid another Bro in riding the tricycle (engaging in a threesome), short of completing the tricycle himself. The total age of all the three should be less than 83.
I couldn't stop laughing. Who wrote this? I could just imagine a bunch of guys sitting around drinking beer and coming up with this loony rule. Especially the age thing. How arbitrary!
Bro Code 111 - If a Bro discovers another Bro has forgotten to sign out of his email, the Bro will sign out for him, but only after first sending a few angry emails to random contacts and then deleting all sent messages.
Perfect! I can just imagine Grandma Flossie opening her e-mail and getting a nasty note from her grandson about her body odor.
Bro Code 91 - If a group of Bros suspect that their Bro is trying to give himself a nickname, they shall rally to call him by an adjacent yet more demeaning nickname.
Wanna be called Duke? Yeah, your Bros will start calling you Puke.
Bro Code 50 - If a Bro should accidentally strike another Bro's undercarriage with his arm while walking, both Bros silently agree to continue on as if it never happened.
Um…unless the struck Bro was hit hard enough that he's rolling on the ground holding his danglers.
Bro Code 138 - A real Bro doesn't laugh when a guy gets hit in the groin. Exception: Unless he doesn't know the guy.
Nice, huh? You've seen America's Funniest Home Videos. About 74% of them involve groin strikage.
Bro Code 36 DD - When questioned in the company of women, a Bro decries fake breasts.
Yes, this happens all the time! Now we know they're lying!!!
Bro Code 25 - A Bro doesn't let another Bro get a tattoo, particularly a tattoo of a girl's name. The average relationship between a man and a woman lasts 83 days. The relationship between a man and his skin lasts a lifetime, and must be nurtured because the skin is the largest and second most important organ a man has.
That last part probably says it all.
If you have a guy in your house, you may want to suggest that they download this app. Bros should know this stuff, I guess.
Now it's your turn. Let's see how creative you are. What would you like to add to the Bro Code? Leave a comment for a chance to win an ebook.

Mackenzie Jarvis has never slept with a woman. So why has she fallen madly in lust with Gina Volto, host of the reality cooking show Mackenzie is competing in? Mackenzie’s wild desire to live out her fantasy, battles with her conservative Wyoming values. Then Gina pours on the seduction, Mackenzie runs–home to her ranch, her horses, and her busy career as the owner and chef of a restaurant. But Gina shows up at her ranch in a snowstorm, and Mackenzie allows herself one weekend of forbidden, kinky pleasure.
When Gina admits she wants more than just a few days, can Mackenzie ignore her upbringing and her plans for a traditional life with a husband and children? Or will she give in and turn up the heat?
EXCERPT:  Over 18 only, please.
Gina leaned back into Mackenzie’s arms as they stared across the snowy field at the distant mountains.
Mackenzie couldn’t resist Gina’s gorgeous profile. She admired the tanned skin of her long, graceful neck, knowing how soft and fragrant it would feel on her lips. Knocking off her own hat, she bent her head and tasted the sweet, exposed skin.
Gina groaned and melted into Mackenzie’s embrace. She unzipped her coat and pulled Mackenzie’s hand to her breast.
A bolt of hot passion exploded low in Mackenzie’s belly, swelling her pussy and stiffening her clit. God, this woman was insatiable. As insatiable as Mackenzie was for her. Every minute, every movement they shared ignited a spark between them.
Mackenzie pinched and rolled Gina’s nipple, suddenly questioning whether this feeling could last. Especially when they returned to their separate lives. She’d had enough boyfriends to remember how the initial fireworks sputtered and fizzled with time.
Gina moaned and unzipped her snow pants, tugging them down to mid thigh. She unzipped her jeans and guided Mackenzie’s other hand down past her belly button.
Mackenzie pushed aside her depressing, pensive thoughts. “Gina, you’re so damn horny. I can’t get anything done between trying to satisfy you, and you giving me an orgasm every hour.”
“You love it, girl. Admit it.” Gina tipped her hips up to Mackenzie’s hand.
Mackenzie growled. “God, I do.” She slipped her hand lower, inside the lacy panties, into Gina’s bare pussy, one finger going right to her clit. Her own lips tingled and creamed, needing Gina’s touch.
Gina shuddered and sighed, and Mackenzie dipped lower to capture pussy juice from Gina’s swollen lips and carry it to her hard bead. She rubbed gently, knowing how tender her own clit was after all the times Gina had stroked her into orgasm in the last day.
Gina’s whimper of pleasure turned Mackenzie’s lust into a desperation to please this perfect woman. She increased her pressure on Gina’s nipple while Mackenzie’s lips sucked and nibbled at her neck, just under her ear where Gina’s pulse beat fast for her.
In seconds, Gina shouted, startling the horses—and Mackenzie a bit as well—as her quick response to Mackenzie’s touch made her body quiver.
Mackenzie held her tight, sucking, rubbing, tweaking, riding her lover into yet another orgasm quickly after the first one.
Gina panted and relaxed her muscles, relying on Mackenzie to hold her. “Sweet girl,” Gina whispered, “you’ve got me wrapped around your middle finger.”
Mackenzie laughed at the play on words. She brought her finger to her lips and tasted the musky-sweet juices.
Gina watched as Mackenzie lapped at her middle finger, and said, “I’d like to have you wrapped around my tongue.”

Genre Bending ~ Temptation and Tights by Pat Cunningham

This blog was originally posted at TITLE MAGIC.

Here it is, my new cover to my latest release, Temptation and Tights! Back in January I made a bunch of resolutions; one of them was to double my backlist and have 10 stories available by the end of the year. Most of the resolutions fizzled by the end of January, but this one’s working. This is my second release this year, plus I subbed a fantasy story to another publisher yesterday. We’ll see if anything comes of that. Meanwhile, I’ve got another M/M simmering, and I’m fiddling around with a paranormal YA, of all things. Three more acceptances to go!

Okay, back to the topic at hand. Temptation and Tights is the story of a supervillain who falls in love with the superhero pursuing him. It’s not that far-fetched a plot for the genre. Stan Lee introduced romance tropes and soap opera plots to cape-and-cowl books in the 1960s and revolutionized the industry. Rewrite the Superman saga from Lois’s perspective and bang, you’ve got a romance. Heroes and villains in love? I give you Batman and Catwoman. She tries so hard to reform, but c’mon. She is who she is and she knows who she is, and she’s not going to change, not even for him. Half the fun is getting the Bat to chase her, and she knows it. Half the fun for us is watching the pursuit.

Sitting next to me right now is a copy of Night Shadow by Nora Roberts, published in 1991. It’s the story of a man who develops superpowers in a lab accident, dresses in black and fights crime. The feisty by-the-book DA trying to bring this vigilante in falls in love with him instead. It’s a superhero story in prose, proof it can be done. There hasn’t exactly been a slew of these things, though, not like with vampires and shapeshifters. Yeah, well. I had fun writing it, and that’s the important thing.

The hardest part of writing the book? Coming up with character names that haven’t already been copyrighted. I wanted to call my bad guy “Captain Chaos” but they used that name on South Park. I changed “Icarus” to “Icarius” just to be on the safe side. There are dozens of winged heroes out there already (Hawkman and Angel come to mind right off the bat), so on the powers end I might get a pass. Like plots, there are only so many powers out there. It’s what you do with them that makes them stand out.

In spite of the financial success of The Avengers, and the expected success of The Dark Knight Rises, I don’t expect superhero romances to become the Next Big Thing. If you want to write one, M/F or M/M, go right ahead. Give at least one of your characters powers beyond those of mortal beings, then give them problems to match. Then send them out on a date with the one person in the world who leaves them tongue-tied. Or who wants them arrested. Or dead. Then sit back and watch the fun.

Okay, enough of the capes. I think I’ll go back to the story about the fashion designer. That should be fun. I have no fashion sense and don’t know how to sew. Project Runway, help me out!

Mojo Monday - Skin Care

Ugh... it's Monday again.
Time to get the mojo motivated.
I found an interesting bit of triva I thought to share.

SKIN CARE - Fascinating Fact: Sperm is good for the skin

The proteins in sperm have a tightening effect on the skin. When sperm is left to dry, the evaporation of the water in it leaves behind protein which can help to reduce wrinkles. There is also some mumbo-jumbo abuot "that semen contains an abundance of natural lipids and essential amino acids and prostaglandins, natural substances which aid in skin repair and increase blood flow bringing in more nutrients to the to the skin".

While this may be an excellent anti-aging treatment, the obvious downside is that you have to walk around with sperm on your face.

I think I'll stick to Olay, thank you.

Free read: Desirous of Shoes

Every month on the fifteenth day, I post up a new free read on my web site. Though most of what I write for money is very, very naughty, most of what I write for fun is, well, not. This is one of the not stories. But just check out those shoes! -- viv

"Desirous of Shoes"

~1,700 words

PG Rating | Fairy tale (with some tongue-in-cheek allegory)

Summary: Princess Sparklebutton wants, more than anything else, some fabulous shoes that fit, but asking anything of her self-absorbed parents is an exercise in Disappointment. Until Cornelius comes to court to set that shit straight.

In a pearl palace by the sea lived a princess, Sparklebutton. She was a good princess, always obedient. She studied Deportment, Duty, Diligence, Daughtering, and Dancing, and all of these with bare feet because no shoemaker in the kingdom could fashion shoes that would fit. Her feet, you see, were super tiny. Not tiny in the cute little “Well, ain’t that dainty!” sort of way, either. More like, “Da-yamn, are you sure those are feet and not butterfly wings?” The exclamations had long since turned to sniggerings, but they weren’t what hurt the most. Sparklebutton was so used to the cuts and scrapes on her feet -- and the heckles in her ears -- that she had long since given up complaining. She took her studies to heart and kept her mouth shut.

Scrumptious Saturday with Jacqueline Paige

I confess I have been AWOL from the RomWBB blog for a long
time.  The only possible way I can think to make up for my bad behavior
is to do penance each Saturday.
It took a bit of thought to
come up with something good enough to win the favor of my co-bloggers
after leaving them to do all the work for these many, many months.

Scrumptious Saturday is what I came up with.

Scrumptious how you ask...

This tasty treat has all the good stuff in it.
Chocolate and vanilla pudding, pecans, sweetened cream cheese, whip cream and of course sweet chocolate shavings.

All that's missing is someone to feed it to you.

I thought of that too!

Of course the kitty will have to remain on the floor during the feeding or things might get messy.

Have a great weekend!

Legacy by Pat Cunningham ~ Now In Print

It’s here! My first-ever ménage and sequel to Belonging is now available in print at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. It’s got mystery, action, excitement, two guys making out and a woman joining in, and one of the guys is a vampire. I always try to give my readers their money’s worth.

I realize Kindle and its kin are the wave of the future, but I really, really, really like print. There’s just something immensely satisfying about holding your novel in your hand and seeing your name printed on the cover. It’s so permanent.

In brief: Colleen Brenner is being stalked by vampires. Wallace and Jeremy, the vampire/human couple from Belonging, offer to help her out. Through the twists and turns of the story she falls in love with them both. Who wouldn’t? I liked these guys so much I had to write another book about them. I love this job.

Serena, if you’re here, I haven’t forgotten about Preacher’s story. I’ll get to it eventually, I swear. Right now, though, something from Legacy’s last chapter sparked another idea, and I’m currently fiddling with that. If anything comes of it, you’ll hear about it here.

Legacy is available in print here: amazon.com/Legacy-Sequel-Belonging-Publishing-Menage/dp/1622411390/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_t_2e ~ and here: ~ barnesandnoble.com/w/the-legacy-jere-cunningham/1001059507?ean=9781622411399&itm=1&usri=pat+cunningham ~

You can also get Belonging in print from Amazon and B&N. If you prefer to live in the 21st century, both are available as e-books from Amazon, B&N, and at ~ bookstrand.com/pat-cunningham ~

EXCERPT

“Oh. Oh God.” Jeremy clutched at Wallace’s arms to maintain his balance. He glanced at the clock on the wall and swore afresh. “Gus will be here any minute, and I don’t even have dinner started.”

“Gus will run late like he always does, and you know he’s not staying for dinner. I’ll bet you’ve got time for a shower.” He slapped Jeremy’s naked ass. “Go on, go make yourself pretty. We’ll hold down the fort.”

“You’re monsters. Both of you.”

“Just the way you want us, you bat-loving slut. We’re always happy to oblige. Right, sweetheart?”

Colleen wiped her mouth to buy time. “I’ll make dinner. I was planning to anyway.”

“You heard the lady. Go get yourself cleaned up.” Wallace smacked a wet kiss on Jeremy’s cheek. “Better hurry, before we muss you up again.”

“I hate you both,” Jeremy said, though with a sated smile that proclaimed just the opposite. He paused to brush Colleen’s tousled hair away from her face before he tugged his briefs and slacks back up over his hips. He stumbled from the kitchen without bothering to zip up. At the doorway he paused. “Nobody touches anything until you wash your hands.”

“Yes, Mom,” Wallace said. Jeremy made a face at him and headed for the stairs.

“I should clean up, too.” Colleen started to scramble off the floor. Wallace caught her arms and lifted her easily and set her on her feet. “Thanks,” she said, with a little too much heartiness. “I left groceries by the front door. I hope you guys like Swedish meatballs.”

“I’ll tell you what I like.”

His mouth attacked hers like a predator. Colleen stiffened involuntarily, instinctively. Wallace didn’t seem to care. He took his time, fully exploring her mouth, all the places Jeremy’s dick had been only minutes ago. He withdrew at last with a half growl, half chuckle.

“You and Scarecrow,” he rumbled. “Two great tastes that taste great together.”

Taste. She had the taste of Jeremy’s blood on her tongue now, stolen from Wallace’s mouth. “I saw what you did,” she said. “You made him drink your blood.”

“I can’t make him do anything. You should know that by now. He only took a gulp or two, same as I did. We do it all the time.”

“You’re turning him into a vampire.”

“No way. I’d have to drain him for that to happen. A sip every now and then won’t hurt him, and he knows it.” He leered at her wickedly. “In fact, it gets him horny. Want to go surprise him in the shower?”

“Don’t you ever quit?”

“Never. When you quit, you die. I’ve been fighting dead for way too long.” He pulled her more tightly against him. His lips teased a line down her cheek to her neck. He made no attempt to bite down. His hand crept under her blouse and found her nipple through the thin barrier of her bra. Colleen gasped and pressed into his caress.

“This is why I keep going back to chicks,” he murmured. “Dicks are a blast, but sometimes I just miss tits.”

“You’re so deep.”

“Don’t get all self-righteous with me, sweetheart. You’re not any different.” He scraped his teeth along her throat while his hand continued to torment her breast.

Colleen knew she ought to be terrified. She’d just seen him bite and drink from Jeremy. Right now, though, terror of him was the furthest thing from her mind. She made no effort to escape, even when he released her breast and transferred his hand to her thigh. His palm slid brazenly inward and upward, stopping just short of the spot that ached the most for his touch.
She tightened her legs to trap his hand. Without meaning to, she growled aloud.

Wallace answered in kind. His finger pressed against her panty-shielded slit. “I know you, sweetheart,” he rumbled against the pulse in her throat. “I’ve been in your head. There’s a predator inside you. She likes to play with fire. You’re as close to a bat as a breather can get. No wonder Scarecrow’s so hot for you.”

The reference to vampires doused the fire Wallace was playing with. She pushed at his chest. “I should get dinner started.”

He caught her arms. “Stay.”

“Gus is coming over. We need to get ready.”

“I meant when this is over. Stay with us—him. Will you stay with him?”

Taken aback by his intensity, Colleen stumbled over her answer. “You mean live here? With both of you?”

“Forget about me for a minute. Think about him. You care about him, right?”

Care sounded so inadequate when she considered her feelings. “It hardly matters, does it? He belongs to you. He loves you.”

“That’s because he’s an asshole. A stupid, stubborn, human son of a bitch.” He looked away from her to the corner where he’d tossed Jeremy’s shirt. “He’s going to die.”

Thursday 13 - Favorite Quotes from Handcuffs & Silk

1. “No.” Her red lips slid into a wicked grin that made his dick take notice. “I’ll dole out any punishment necessary.”

2. “Do you want to kiss me?” Her breath brushed against his neck, inches from his ear.

3. “Ignite-the-Flames-of-My-Desire Bananas Foster.”

4. “I suppose you can see it that way.” He focused on the creamy dessert “But you can have love without sex, and sex without love. Either way can be fulfilling.”

5. “You just have to be willing to take a risk.” She took extra care licking the ice cream off her spoon.

6. “Not at the moment.” He winked. “But with the right person and the right coaxing, I might be willing to sample things I’m not familiar with.”

7. “I only wish to serve and please you.” His voice dripped with sex as he dropped to his knees in a submissive pose: head bowed with his hands behind his back.

8. “You have the right to remain silent.” She clamped a handcuff roughly onto a wrist and raised both arms over his head to hook around the headboard rails then attached the remaining cuff to his free wrist. “Anything you say can and will be used against you for my pleasure.”

9. “Hunter.” Her breath caressed his ear as she whispered, “I’ve put the key to the cuffs in a glass of ice. Once the ice melts, you can set yourself free. If you free yourself within an hour, you can perform any sex act on me you wish. If you can’t break yourself free, I expect you to perform any sex act I wish. Until then, you are my prisoner and will do as I say.”
