Sinful Saturday ~ BRANDED BY THE TEXANS ~ New *Sextreme* Release

After authoring eight erotic romance novels, this is the first one rated: Sextreme. Is that sinful enough for this Saturday?

I certainly hope so!

I didn’t start out with that particular goal in my mind when I began writing Branded. However, it is a menage, starring Kylie and her three Texans, Dillon, Dono and Dash. And, holy moly, did the heroine and her heroes take over my keyboard...their wants, their needs...sexually, emotionally and passionately.
~~~~~~
Blurb ~
What can three Texans do to a woman’s body and heart?
Kylie is about to find out.
Beyond her wildest dreams.
On a parallel Earth.
It’s 2009... Kylie is on the run from the law for a crime she didn’t commit. A promising doctoral student, she’s lost everyone and almost everything, except for what she stows in her car. Now, Kylie has to salvage the rest of her life. But, where in this age of GPS tracking, TV’s Most Wanted and cameras everywhere?
It’s 2009... Dillon, Dono and Dash are three brothers desperate for a wife to brand as their own. The Union made women scarce in the Three Star Republic by releasing a bio weapons’ plague during the border wars. These tough-as-leather Texans will do anything to keep the right woman, even if they have to lasso her like a wild filly and love on her until she loves them back.
~~~~~~

SEXCERPT ~

...She slid against him in a dang erotic way he surely relished.

“How about your ankles, darlin’?” Dillon swirled his thumb over her outer ankle.

“Please.” Her voice was barely above the sound of the water.

Continuing to massage her foot with one hand, Dillon smoothed his other palm over her ankle. Dash watched him languidly stroked the sweet shape with the length of his fingers. Dono followed his lead using his thumb to lightly stimulate her sexual point, the one located below her inner ankle.

“I should be dreaming.” She sighed luxuriously. “I’m keeping my eyes closed just in case I am dreaming. Besides, those cowboy cocks of yours are looking for love already.”

All three brothers locked gazes with each other. “Lookin’ for love, like the song?” Dash fondled her ass with small squeezes.

“Yeah, the song. From a John Travolta movie.”

“John Travolta?” Dono cupped her ankle between his hands and massaged.

“He’s a well-known actor on my Earth. Oh, I like what you’re doing, musketeer cowboy. Both of you, what you’re doing.”

“There is no John Travolta, the actor, here.” Dillon gradually smoothed the heel of his hand up the water-slickened flesh of her calf.

“Mmmm…Viking cowboy. Who did sing it? I can’t recall on my Earth.”

Dash watched the shower spray strike his wife’s body forming rivulets that flowed over her delectable round shape. Heaven had definitely found him, and he wanted to stay. “Lots of artists here, honey. I’ve been known to belt it out now and then.”

“Mmmm… a singing prince cowboy.” Kylie moved against him, sensual as a big cat. “Oh, yes,” she moaned, “your hands are driving me so sexy-insane.”

Dono braced her foot against his solar plexus, then slipped both of his hands up her leg. Sweeping longer strokes, he massaged her calf, gradually including her knee.

Clenching her ass tighter, Dash slipped his thumbs over the tender inner flesh of her crack.

“Three against one. I’m liking this more and more.” Arching her back, Kylie pressed her butt against his loins.

Dash groaned. Of its own accord, his shaft nudged her twat’s petals, steamier than inside the shower stall. Controlling himself, he gently rubbed his cock’s head back and forth, and ached mightily to plunge inside her.

“Such a nice tease, prince cowboy,” she throatily crooned. “Yes, oh God, my thighs have never felt this good…Dillon, Dono.”

Nestling the crown of his shaft between her carnal folds, Dash took a look at what his brothers were doing. They massaged in different ways, fondling the entire length of her thighs.

“Kylie,” Dono darkly purred above the sound of the shower. “I’ll bet you’d like me pleasurin’ your nubbin.” Dono eased his hand over her curls. Cupping, he kneaded her woman’s plump mound.

Tightening her hold on his neck, Kylie uttered a strangled whimper and rocked her sex rose on Dash’s cockhead.

Dono slipped the side of his hand between her thighs. Teasing the cleft of her mound, he fingered open her female flesh. “I’ll bet you’ll like Dash puttin’ his big cock inside you at the same time.”

“Come here, Kylie,” Dillon commanded. “I’ll hold onto you and suck your teats.”

A needy cry escaped her throat, and Kylie let go of Dash’s neck. Leaning forward, she reached for Dillon. Her arms flew around his neck and she clutched him like a lifeline.

“That’s it, my sweet thang.” Dillon roved his hands over the voluptuous swells of her hips and the slender dip of her waist. “Dash’ll keep himself reined in till you want him real bad.”

Gripping her thighs near her ass, Dash spread Kylie as her legs loosely surrounded Dillon’s hips. Rearing wild with ache, he jabbed his cock’s head inside her slick little hole. Not wanting to take her too fast, he fucked her entrance and waited for Dono to do his special magic with her feminine bud. “She wide enough for you, brother?”

“Yep. I feel her. You’ve got the most exquisite nubbin, Kylie love,” Dono crooned, coaxing her to let go of any inhibition. “You like me squeezin’ it this way? Strokin’ this way?”

“Oh, please, yes…keep doing what you’re doing. Dono, yes, pinch me.”

Kylie squirmed on the hot poker that was his cock and danced in that cat-like sinuous way of hers. Dash stroked her inner thighs with his thumbs. More and more, he fell in love with the way his wife moved, with the feel of her body.

“Dang, princess,” he growled. “I want to melt the cream in your sweet pussy.”

“Yes, do it!” she cried out.

With his loins on fire to buck like an untamed stud, Dash gave it to her deeper. The fluid undulation of her hips met his pumping shaft, then thrust forward to Dono’s fingers as he continued fondling her clit.

Dash lunged faster, her pussy’s scalding hole irresistible to his breeding flesh. The frenzied motion of her hips matched him, and even taunted his endurance.

“That’s it, Kylie, give me your nubbin,” Dono rasped. “It’s hard as a bud, wantin’ to burst, give me its dew.”

She gurgled a keening sound of pleasure and ache, both. “Harder. Pull my clit harder. Oh, Dono, yes.”

As his wife stiffened with the arrival of her orgasm, her hips stilled. She offered her sweetly blazing twat to Dash like a gift. Fast and furious, he launched his cock inside her like a sky-soaring rocket.

Once her screams of rapture began, Dash reared back, gripped his Kylie’s thighs hard, and plunged his stud shaft inside her tightening sheath up to the hilt. His orgasm sweltered his cock with a terrible pleasure and tore at his innards like a whipping storm.

The bliss almost unbearable, his cum pulsed at rapid fire. Through clenched teeth, he yelled a groan that lasted for so long, time itself seemed to stop around him.

“Kylie,” he shouted once he could speak again. “Woooweee, little honey.”

She shuddered around his shaft, deliciously feminine and fragile.

FLIRTY FRIDAY

Not tonight, dear. I have a headache.

We all have our arsenal of excuses for those times when we’re just not in the mood to get it on. “I’m too tired.” “I have to get up early in the morning.” “It’s that time of the month.” “I just don’t feel like it.”

But how about when it’s time to write about sex? As authors with deadlines looming around every corner, we don’t have the luxury of saying, “I’m just not in the mood” to write love scenes. We’d better damn well get in the mood fast.

For me, ideally, I’ll be alone in the house, or even better—Mr. Simone will be available in case I make myself hot and bothered while writing a particularly steamy scene. Ideally, the house will be quiet—no TV, no music (unless it’s music that I pick to set the mood), no barking dog chasing the cat up and down the stairs. Ideally, I’ll be dressed in something more than tattered sweatpants and shirt. Ideally, I’ll have brushed my teeth.

Unfortunately, this is real life. I have a husband who likes my company, two social teenagers, a German shepherd beast who gets too excited whenever he spots one of the cats, and I need to be comfortable when I write, which means tattered sweats and an old sweatshirt complete with spit-up stains from when my daughter was a baby (she’s 18 now).

I wrote my last love scene with six teenagers in the next room watching Saw V blasting on the TV. Nothing like the terrified screams of too-stupid-to-live heroines to get one in the mood to write romance, eh?

How about you? Do you do anything to get in the mood before you write that fabulous sex scene? If so, do tell.

Giving It Away For Free

I have a confession to make.

Even though I’m a published author and I take my career seriously, there are times when I feel the urge to write what I want to write, and give it away for free. And that’s when I go over to the Fiction Press and Fan Fiction sites.

You’ve probably heard of them, especially if you have kids. They’re internet sites where anyone can go, start a free account, and post whatever kind of fiction they want. What makes it so intoxicating is the relaxation, the total freedom.

What would happen if Ambassador Thorn from THE OMEN asked Bruce Springsteen to help him destroy the Anti-Christ? What if Queen Susan of Narnia had to fend off an invasion of dinosaurs with her sexy ex Prince Rabadash?

When I write as Dan Sickles (at FanFiction) or Cynthia Brent (at FictionPress) I don’t have to worry about chasing trends or finding a marketable hook. I don’t have to steam up a romance I think is honest and convincing. I don’t have to pretend to know what I don’t know, or feel what I don’t feel. I just cut loose, and I never know what will happen next.

Am I losing my mind? What happens when authors give it away for free? Have you ever felt the temptation? Discuss!

Emotions with no words

The other day I was watching a ballet when I realized that although there were no words I clearly knew what the dancers were portraying with their body. The ballet had all the emotions it made me laugh, angry, and weep.

After the show it left me thinking of the non verbal communication in everyday life. So I conducted a sort of experiment. I studied people when I walked around, on the train and where ever I went. It was amazing how much I found that I could tell a lot about people without them saying a word. Now I’m not saying that I didn’t notice before when someone was happy, angry or upset before but the ballet made me observe more.

I also took a look at the TV show Lie to Me. The shows whole concept is about reading people. They use the human face and body language. Also peoples tone of voice. Between that and the ballet it opened a fascination in me.

With my experiment and the show they made me think even more. Come up with a story concept to use the non verbal to get emotion across with no words.

Take a shot at observing someone today and see what you can find out. It may lead you to unexpected things.

Reader Contest -- Win My New Release Best Little Spin Wash in Texas

For the first time EVAH, I am holding off on my Monday interview to share a contest with you for my first release, Best Little Spin Wash in Texas (Thanks to Valerie Tibbs for the fantastic cover!!!). And as a special treat, I'm holding my very own contest. Enter and check out my book at http://www.loose-id.com/ tomorrow. :>

(Oh, and look back here next week for the next interview with Jeanne!!!! Honey, you knew I'd get to you soon :>)

Timid, geeky quantum physicist Molly Timmons lives in a man’s world of metaphysics when she meets a handsome John St. James at a Spin Wash and Go. One dark night trapped in the Spin Wash isn’t enough. Even as their relationship deepens, they learn of a dark secret the Spin Wash is hiding… a secret that could tear John’s world apart or could save his daugther‘s life.

Molly’s the key.

Time is running out. Will they figure out the Spin Wash’s secret or will they both be lost in time?

Excerpt:

His arms flexed as he slid the basket under his arm and walked around the washers. This was ridiculous; she needed to get laid if the simple pleasure of watching a man cross the floor had her flushed with sexual need.

Laundry detergent, White Rain shampoo, and something indefinable invaded her space and filled her senses as he walked past her.

It was hard to stay put.

She closed her eyes, took in another deep breath, and repressed a moan. This was why women loved sweaty men. Pheromones trumped common sense every time.

Forcing her eyes open, she watched him move; the hard muscles flexing and bending to his will A shift of his basket and his eyes clashed with hers, darkening. With a slow perusal, he took in her lightly muscled legs, encased in short blue shorts. She mentally slapped herself, thinking of how opaque her white T-shirt must look. Her mama had told her that, even with small breasts, she should always wear a bra.

Nipples peaked, pebbling through her shirt, as he continued his inspection, gray eyes almost black. She breathed shallowly, trying to ignore the ache blooming deep inside.

Molly was past shielding herself; she wanted those eyes on her. Her lack of propriety would have had her mother screaming a blue streak. Taunting a man like that, walking out of the house looking like a slut.

God, he had to stop looking at her.

He finally jerked his gaze away from her body and leaned down to drop his basket, then pulled the detergent and softener from it, those lovely muscles moving deliciously under his tan.

He was so close, and those jeans hit him in all the right places. She had to watch every movement, mesmerized by the bending and flexing of his thighs as he placed the detergent into the washer.

He was done too soon. His strong hands worked efficiently, the muscles underneath moving like strings on a piano. Strong. Graceful. Just the idea of those strong digits strumming her body, gliding across her skin, made her hold her breath.

She needed to get ahold of herself -- and quick -- if she was going to look him in the eye. Her face was tight, the skin undoubtedly flushed and almost feverish and not just from the heat and stickiness of the Spin Wash. She was letting her imagination get away with her.

Sound good???  Get your own copy at http://www.loose-id.com/ or you can enter my contest, get a free read AND a chance at a free copy of Best Little Spin Wash in Texas. Just email me at april.morelock@gmail.com today to receive great free reads; or comment below to be entered to win!

Sultry Sunday- What A Girl Needs

This is another WIP, What A Girl Needs, from the erotic short story anthology that's consuming every waking hour in my life. Lovin' every minute of this novel.

Rob remembered her from earlier that evening. He saw her, just like every other sex starved carnal male in the room, as soon as she strode in to the room, short black skirt hugging her hips and low cut red camisole shirt, clinging to her every curve emphasizing her buoyant breasts, he noticed her. Oh yes, he responded to her presence. From his ogling eyes to the hardness growing in the front his pants.

As she strode through the doorway of the Stumble Inn Bar, it wasn't the light filtering into the dark room that had people looking towards the door for the disruption. It was her that created the distraction. Men stared openly in lust while their female counterparts glared in envy.

The swagger of her full hips were mesmerizing. The motion of her ass swinging from side to side was like every eyeballs comparison to a mini tennis match. To and fro. Side to side. Tantalizing every male, and possibly a few female, admirers as she advanced through the crowd of people and smoke.

Her short skirt barely inched away from her thighs as she swaggered towards the back of the room. The stretch fabric clung to her accentuating every luscious curve and toned muscle. You could tell there were no pantie lines. Thong? Or, better yet, nothing? It didn't take much for the imagination to wonder with this woman.

Her sex appeal and sultry manner was enough to make even a gay man rethink his sexual preference.

Her cotton camisole clung to her like a well-fit...wet tee-shirt at a contest. It molded to her body so you could see the outline of her skimpy bra's lacy and erect nipples. The twinge in his groin was alive and well again.

Flirty Friday with Jacqueline Paige

Happy Friday everyone!!

Here's a question for everyone:
What's flirty? Is it in the eyes, the
smile or the body language?

A certain look can be flirty... a quick glance, a long stare...

But a smile says it all too...

And then there is the body language ... or maybe it's just the person the body belongs to...

So lets hear it, eyes, smile, body or the whole package????

Have a great weekend!!!

Thursday Thirteen- 13 erotic romance phrases

This week's Thursday Thirteen is dedicated to erotic romance words or phrases you're guaranteed to find in novels (or at least mine) that will get your heart pumping, mind traveling with sexual thoughts and have you rearing to go for a romp in the hay.

1)Emulating essence- Whether you're referring to a man's musky, leather skin infiltrating your nostrils or a woman's heavenly scent- this is a must-have phrase in any or all of my novels.

2)Pulsating member- No explanation needed here. If one is...well, you're in the wrong business or genre.

3)(Fabric) clung to her/his hips- Gives you a great visual of swaying hips. Form fitting spandex/denim based material hugging every curve. C'mon- you're envisioning it, admit it already.

4)The vibration between her thighs- Whether a cell phone or vibrator- Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. You're now shutting her eyes and lulling her head back with silent pleasure. It's okay- I am too.

5)Bulge in the front of his pants- Ahhh, once again, need I say more.

6)Skirt hiked up to her waist- Great visual for any man desiring a favorite sexual position. What more could he ask for.

7)Slipped his fingers...- This phrase has endless possibilities...under the fabric of her thong comes to mind first. And yours?

8)Buried his face- And I don't mean in the sand or in a pillow. Think...got it? Good.

9)She gasped with pleasure- And not from Ben & Jerry's coming out with a new ice cream flavor.

10)Ravaged her taste- With a word like 'ravaged' in the sentence...well, that just about says it all.

11)Quivering bodies- And not from the temperatures in the dead of winter. Quivering from sexual exhaustion is more like it.

12)Flicked his tongue..., …, …, Sorry, I lost my train of thought. On her neck, her shoulder, her...**coughing slightly**...you get the idea.

13)Exploding orgasm- Ahhh...life is good.

8 Days a Week

Remember that Beatle song? "Eight days a week are not enough to love you." It's one of those songs I crank up on the oldies station when I hear it. ^_^ Just guitars, drums, and voice. Today, I'm sharing a different Eight Days a Week. Here's a pic to sample.

(8) Butlers in the Buff
http://butlersinthebuff.com/

Now these guys are some hard working gentlemen! (pardon the pun) Butlers in the Buff are only available in the UK and Australia. Lucky people! I learned about this company a few years ago and had a banner to their site on my links page.

Notice all of these guys are in great shape! They range in sizes and come in all colors. Oooh, that wasn't an intentional pun, I promise. *snickers* This is currently their official Facebook photo, and it was so yummy I had to share. My first thought was "Wow, one for each day of the week." The fact that there were eight of them brought that song to mind, and from there, the lyrics popped into my head. "Eight days a week are not enough to love you" takes on a whole new meaning when coupled *grin* with this picture.

Click the Facebook link to see more pics, find out more about these guys, and of course, to "Like" them. Heh... like is too tame a word. I also included a link to their corporate site. They have hostesses too, and can also cater a corporate party. Wouldn't that make the old office party a hoot? I want all of these guys for my Yahoo group's "pool boys" -- they would be great.

So, if you could have only one of these guys -- what the hell, let's make it two -- to serve at one of your parties, which two would it be? I'm torn, because I would definitely want the last one on the right, and then choosing one among the other seven would be seriously hard to do!

Sultry Sunday- It's The Simple Pleasures In Life

I've often said it's the simple pleasures in life that make me happy. On today's Sultry Sunday, I'm listing some of my favorite simple pleasures that will bring a smile to my face,a flutter to my midsection and, even on occasion, moisture to...well, you get it.

.
While suffering through a hectic work day, looking over and seeing a new text message, opening it up to see loving words, a sexual innuendo or even a simple 'thinking of you'. Three little words that can bring a smile to my lips in a split second and make me forget the crazy work day

Seeing someone you love (or like, depending on the circumstances) across the room who, out of nowhere, smiles or winks at you bringing a giddy feeling inside because you just shared a private moment in front of others who are oblivious.

Not having to ask the person you care about for something- they just know and do it.

Snuggling in a li'l closer while in bed on a Sunday morning with the one you love.

Not having to leave the house for ANY reason and being with someone you care about.

Another Form of Seduction

A conversation… well it was more of a debate between my big sis and I led to a very interesting discussion on seduction. We are both avid readers with similar taste. The debate came in when we discussed the merits of the different forms of seduction. We went through the slow and sensual, fast and heated, all the way to the have to have you now. Our opinions varied on each. We did both agree on one. At least we agreed once I explained to my big sis what I meant.

I mentioned to my sis about a book I read that had a scene that I thought was a different form of seduction. Once I gave her examples she sat for a while to think on what I said. I challenged her to think about what I said. Once she figured out what I meant the talk was on. It led to us discussing more of that sort of seduction.

The mind seduction.

In my opinion most seductions start in the mind first. It is those little things that engage you. Make you long for that person. For instance, matching wits with someone who you think of an adversary or just for fun. The mind gets involved first and then it is seduced by that person. Or in some instances being attracted to someone for their brain. Intellectuals are yummy. I love me some geeks. I’m a geek myself. The mind seductions in books are there if you look.

Ever since I came to the realization of mind seduction I’ve found them in books. It is heady to have your mind seduced. The mind is a complex part of your body. Engage it and you get another form of seduction.

Looking for a great M/M romance, Keta Diablo is da; house - Part 1 of 2..

A: Today’s interview is with Keta Diablo, erotic fiction and male on male romance. I’ve been waiting to get to Keta since my budding interest in m/m romance started eight months ago.

Keta, welcome!!!!! I learned a lot about you from your website and I’m guessing you live in Minnesota!!!! That are the far west of Wisconsin. LOL… Okay, now onto the stuff everyone wants to know.

If someone were writing a story about Keta Diablo what would your blurb say?

Keta: Let’s see, what would a blurb say about me? Probably that I’m softhearted, but will hold my ground on things I feel passionate about. I’m obsessive to a fault at times; once I commit to something I’ll see it through good or bad. I adore my family, cherish my friends and like the saying goes, ‘hold my enemies close.

A: You know I love that saying but damn if I wouldn’t want to beat their face in --- it would take a better woman than me to keep enemies close :>. But I digress… For you, what is the hardest part of writing a novel? Concept, Characterization, Plotting, Writing the story, Synopsis/Query letter writing, etc.

K: Concept or ideas are never a problem; in fact I hope I live long enough to write all that’s rambling about in my head. I would have to say the plot is the hardest to get right—what comes next, are my characters deep enough that people can relate to them, and have I elicited emotion from the readers (good or bad)? Like many authors, I’m not fond of writing the “dreaded” synopsis or a query letter, and that’s probably why I haven’t queried agents or major publishers. I like writing for the publishers I’m with, but no doubt would like any new publishers I write for in the future.

One of the other things I find difficult about writing is managing my time. I’m working on that. Writing the book is only part of the equation. Promoting/marketing the writing is equally important and I get a little hung up on the latter at times. It’s one of those damned if you do and damned if you don’t things. You need time to write the next book, but you also need to get the current one out of the gait with a grand start.

A: I know there’s one book that you can’t say enough about. Tell the readers a little about The Sin Eater’s Prince?

A: Thank you so much for asking. The Sin Eater’s Prince was borne out a short story I wrote for an anthology called Boys of the Bite. Cecilia Tan edited the antho and it was released by Ravenous Romance last spring. Not long after its release, an editor at Ravenous asked me to develop it into a full-length story.

Of all the books I’ve written (11 so far) I really got into the research on this one. For those of you who don’t know what a Sin Eater is/was, I’ll be happy to tell you. During earlier centuries in England, Wales and Ireland almost every village had a sin eater who lived on the outskirts. Shunned by most of the villages, he was only called upon when Death called. Either shortly before the person passed or immediately after, the family would call upon him to take up the sins of the deceased. He did this by standing over the corpse, eating a small loaf of bread (called dead cakes) and say a specific prayer. The custom was so widespread and popular that many people left instructions in their Will and truly believed if the Sin Eater didn’t absolve them of sin, they’d wander the halls of oblivion forever.

In The Sin Eater’s Prince, Owen the sin eater, has loved the local physician, Andras Maddock, from afar. In return Maddock has loved Owen from afar, but has not acted upon his feelings because he was turned by a vampire five years ago. When Owen is attacked in the woods one night by the deadliest vampire of all, Traherne, the same vampire who turned Maddock, Andras saves Owen’s life. Traherne’s son, Dagan not only seeks revenge for his father’s death, but longs to possess the Prince’s sword that Maddock owns. So we have love (plenty of that) suspense, mystery, magick and lots and lots of Welsh superstition thrown into the mix.

You can purchase The Sin Eater’s Prince here: http://www.ravenousromance.com/

A: Ohhhh… a vampire m/m romance!!!! I think I know the answer to this next question myself but I’ll let you answer :>. Which of your Books would you like to see turned into a movie and who would play the main characters?

K: Funny you should ask. I was thinking about this the other day, and imagining The Sin Eater’s Prince as a movie. Because it’s a male/male, I don’t know that anyone would ever be interested in bringing it to the big screen, but I think it would make for a wonderful movie – suspense, thrills, mystery, Welsh magick and man love. What more could one ask for?

A: Of the books that you have written, which is your favorite or feel the most connection to?

K: I’ll bet you’ve had other authors tell you that’s like choosing one child over another; and it is in some ways. At the time I’m writing the book, I fall in love with the story and the characters, but then it happens all over again while I’m writing the next book. I like Decadent Deceptions a lot; feel connected to the characters and thought it turned out well. Today I was talking to another author about how one book just seems to flow out of your head and others you have to dig deep for ever scrappy word. Decadent Deceptions came easy for me, so I imagine that’s why I’m more attached to it. You can read more about Decadent Deceptions here: http://tinyurl.com/yfcfwpk

A: Wow, so many great things to look at, I’m not sure where to start. I want to read them all!!!! They sound really good.

On a different slant, if you could work with any author who would it be?

K: Work with? Well, I’d like to pick Harper Lee’s brain and see what makes her tic. I think her characterizations in To Kill a Mockingbird are stellar. The first time I read the book, I was in 5th grade and yet I knew I held something special in my hand. I could feel the sultry heat of the South, taste the prejudice in that town. If an author can accomplish that, she/he has done their job well.

I’m reading a book right now by Emma Wildes called An Indecent Proposal, and Ms. Wildes, you’re holding my interest and I’m impressed. Thank you for this wonderful escape into another world.

A: It would be rapture to spend just a few moments in those author’s presence—working with them would be a once in a lifetime event. Maybe one day people will say that about us.

I know I have so many things I want to write and so little time. I often wonder if I’ll ever capture all the ideas racing around in my head; other writers worry about running out of ideas. What advice would you give to people who are afraid they’ll “run out of creativity" when writing?

K: I can’t imagine that scenario. There are so many things on the Internet or in just our local mall (Ugh, I don’t like big shopping malls), but I go to people watch. It’s so fascinating. I like to watch them in conversation; watch them interact with a clerk, study their facial expressions and body language. I suppose one of these days I’ll be accused of stalking. (lol). Just kidding. During my surveillance outings, I’m seated on a bench and subtly observing.

I also like to surf the net (too much). I might set off to find out about a topic and before you know it, I have ten windows open and forgot what I started out for. One can find all sorts of topics that will spark their interest by surfing. The other day I began by looking for mythology in Scotland and ended up looking at what women wore in the Regency period. Don’t even ask me how I ended up there. Now, that sparked my interest in another area.

A: I'm like that too!!! I get lost. My husband even has "April Time" ... Five minutes are actually two hours. LOL.

Well, I'm almost out of space - come back next to learn more about Keta and get some more sneak peaks of her hot and spicy romances. Or check her out at your favorite location:

Sultry Sunday- An Erotica Cult Following

Recently while discussing favorite authors with acquaintances- I mentioned some names that are familiar to me- they stared blankly at me. They had no clue who these authors were. When asked what they wrote, I explained erotica (erotic romance)... well, needless to say that word (erotica) got some flushed cheeks, wide opened eyes and a few (discreetly hidden) gasps.

"You read that?" was asked.
"Well, yes," I replied, then added, "And I write it."

That did it...the shock was displayed all over their faces. I was being silently ridiculed. Once I responded to an interview and explained the difference between romance and erotic romance and how erotica brings the reader to the scene behind closed doors that few dare to go.

Can you imagine if I told them about Jeanne St. James Rip Cord or Double Dare or Elise Hepner's Sex Tool- just to name a few. **All are creative, well written and loved by me.**

So this week's Sultry Sunday is dedicated to all the erotica romance (whether M/M, F/F, etc, etc)...KUDOS to all of you. I applaud you for sharing your visions, stories and fantasies with the (and I say this lightly) cult following known as erotica.

Sinful Saturday: How Much Is Too Much?

My character's tend to like a little sin with their spice---however, with that special edge that pushes sex from yummy to OMG I NEED TO DO THAT AGAIN comes consequences whether that be emotional or otherwise. People can chase their wicked highs, whatever that might be in my manuscripts, but they better be prepared to do some thinking and reflecting afterward. So, why doesn't that happen more in real life?

Living life to the fullest even in exploring our sexuality tends to have profound moments--not all of course, otherwise I'd worry that were all perpetually stoned out of our minds and thinking a little too hard. But, anyway, I've always envied the people that can flit around their life altering experiences. People that jump out of a plane, go to sex parties for the hell of it, and generally take life by the balls----and then just shrug as if there was nothing to it! Aren't their lives supposed to be altered forever? Nope. It's just a normal day.

So how much is too much for a normally "sin"driven person? Someone who never says no and just has the need to GO? Where won't they go, what won't they do because perhaps they aren't ready for that profound moment? These are the questions I'm asking myself today because I'm writing a succulent new MS where the sky's the limit, but I tend to like to be caged rather than run around and try new things (unless it's in the bedroom). So how do I deal with character's that aren't shy and want to grab life and chase all it's sins, how do I not say no? I suppose it's time to adapt.

Flirty Friday: Good Bookstore Pick-up Lines

So, I'm going to admit something here--I've always wanted to be hit on in a bookstore. Now, on husband and I's first date he kissed me in a Barnes and Nobles, but that doesn't count. So in honor of my PG fantasy here are some of the amusing (fake) bookstore pick up lines.

1. Can you reach that for me? (This one works great for me because those helpful bookstore ladders are always super far away and I'm very, very tiny. Simple but effective.)

2. If you were my Daisy, I'd never let you go, war or no war. (Great Gatsby pick up line, got to love it.)

3. So, vamps or werewolves? (Do we even need to ask about this one?)

4.Yeah know, that new release would be a lot more fun on my deck with a glass of wine.

5. Want to start a book club for two and meet every night at my place?

6. Since you like mysteries, if I gave you clues and puzzles to my number, would you call me sometime?

7. If we got together we could be the new classic love story read through the generations.

8. You need to be kissed and by someone who knows how. (Yes, stolen from one of my favorite men in the world, Rhett Butler, but if someone quoted this to me I would go home with him---provided I was still single--do you know how hard it is to get a man to watch Gone with the Wind?)

9. Do you know when you read things you mumble the words out loud? (Good conversation starter even if the person doesn't actually do this lol)

10. Would you like to join me in a caffeinated beverage, my treat? (Old school, but still a good one and if he throws in a free book I'm sold!)

11. Don't read that one, he dies and your too beautiful too look sad. (Although, this spoiler may backfire.)

12. I have a collection of antique books at my house, want to come over and see?

Thursday Thirteen ~ Fireworks in My Erotic Romance

Fireworks: Grace Kelly and Cary Grant in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1955 "To Catch a Thief"

As a teenager emerging into womanhood, the movie, To Catch a Thief, made a major impact on me, even though, at the time, I watched it on the small screen since it was a late night TV movie.

The intense, witty dialogue...and the cat and mouse game of passion between the heroine and the hero... well, yeah, it hit me where I lived as a young woman discovering her sexuality.

So, okay, I’m a fire-sign Aries, and I’ve always found fireworks displays to be mega exciting. The sight of fiery colors exploding, blossoming in the night sky thrills me, and also ignites my spiritual side. Oh yeah, the Big Bang of the Universe, or the cosmic orgasm as I think of it.

As overly fond as I am of the word ‘fireworks’ ~ and, I am in the context of sex-passions ~ when I actually did a word search of my published books... well, as far as the results, I was surprised. Evidently, I’d reined in my tendency toward that particular purple-passion description. Darn it!

I also wanted to present how other erotic romance authors used the word ‘fireworks’ in their love/sex/passionate scenes. OOPS! Not much response there, either. Oh, and a Google search was pretty much nil, except for a complaint by a reader who said that the word ‘fireworks’ was used too much.

So, on to PLAN B and then, PLAN C... but FIRST! Here’s what I did gather together.
~~~~~~
1) Sophie writhed and her hips lifted off the bed. Her head pushed against his palm, rolling around as he held her forward. She wrapped her legs about his hips, heels crossed over his ass. Tyler saw his own personal fireworks exploding behind his closed eyes.
2) As he faced her, their gazes exploded into one another, feeling like fireworks rapid-firing back and forth to Kylie.
“Little Kylie, I’d grab you close, kiss you senseless, but we both know where that would lead. I don’t ride my horses when they’re not up to par, and certainly not my wife.”
3) “Oh,” Natalie uttered. “This is one piece of news I don’t think I’ll be spreading around. I’ll just stand back and watch the amazing battle-of-the-sexes fireworks.”
Zryphus moved to the door, and murmured teasingly down to Natalie, “You’re not going to tell her I’m the man for her?”
“And get dead shot in the heart before I could blink my own passin’? No, sir.”
PLAN B ~ A search of my WIPs
4) Her knees buckled unexpectedly. Kandace collapsed against Zol. “Oh, take me, lick me.” The plea spilled from her lips, unbidden. Yet, it was exactly what she wanted. “Make it like fireworks... you know that Cary Grant movie.”
“To Catch a Thief.” Zol wrapped her with both arms, capturing her against him.
“You’ve caught our thief,” Zin quipped, his tone like curling smoke.
If she hadn’t been seduced to near panting incoherence, Kandace would have burst out laughing at the betrayal of her own subconscious.
5) Sondra quivered violently. Instantly, he wrapped his arms around her, his virile heat enveloping her, his lips never leaving hers alone. Tenderly, his mouth demanded her passion, as if he were her dream lover. Real now, and here with her. The shaking of her body lessened, her hands tentatively slipped over his shoulders, sliding around his neck. If she only focused on the sensations, the incredible fireworks raging through her...if...
6) “Problem, honey?” he asked, settling inside. “You’re squeezing that jar like I’d like to have your hands wrapped around my cock right now.” He turned the key, purring the jeep on.
Keziah jumped, literally. “Somewhere,” she muttered. “Somewhere...now.”
“Somewhere as in ‘getting off’ somewhere?” he rasped, more raw eagerness in his voice than she’d ever heard before.
“Yes, ‘off’,” she murmured, quaking inside. “Know somewhere? Now?” Her hands convulsively twisted back and forth on the jar.
He didn’t say anything, just pulled out. She should have seen where they were going. He wasn’t speeding. A haze enveloped her, of him, of them, of the need building like fireworks inside her.
7) “The werewolf is blackest passion for you.” Brianna smiled broadly with her knowing. “Through the wolfen eyes of my Mate, I watched the sparking display. Like fireworks.”
“Oh-my-gawd.” Keira moaned. Still, she noticed Brianna’s exceptionally gentle touch on her wrist pulse.
“You require rest.” With obvious expertise, Brianna pressed the meridian points on Keira’s arm. “I shall have the correct potion made up for you.”
“Thank you,” Keira murmured, then reclaimed her arm.
“Keira, in the werewolfen world such a fireworks display is received as good news by all of us. We know Zane has chosen his Mate wisely. Therefore, we all trust his leadership with a greater heart.”
8) “Where’s a spell against strange-bloodline vampires when you need one?” she sarcastically crooned.
“If I say ‘in hell’ will that make me a demon in your eyes?” Careful scrutiny lie beneath the am Her smoldering gaze traveled the length of his body. A thorough perusal, that had him standing ‘at attention’.
PLAN C ~ On December 28, 2008, I began writing a Serial Flash, two hundred words a day, that is still continuing on my Kougar Kisses blog, and is at *Part 548* currently. And, yep, I found FIREWORKS!
Happy Courtship on another Earth
X-Serial Flash in Two Hundred ~ Sylva and Zeke’s love story
10) Part 22 ~
Sylva sparkled as if New Year’s day fireworks soared inside her. Deciding she would live for today, she lifted her hips a bit as his work-rough hands smoothed down her pantyhose, gliding down her skin in a way that had her ready to swoon. “You didn’t answer, Zeke,” she provoked, astounded by how sultry her voice sounded. Deliberately he stroked down her shin, his pleasure obvious. “I don’t want your eyebrows singed yet, darlin’. That’s for later. I want you smoky and silky beneath me.” With seductive care, he slipped her feet free of the pantyhose, his hands relishing her arches.
Zeke caressed her little soft toes, letting his fingertips linger before stroking them away. “Oooh, a man with answers,” she crooned, her shoulder rolling forward, teasing his eye. Standing, he unbuckled his gun belt and hung it within easy reach. Not wanting to make her shy away from him, he unbuttoned and slid off his vest, then sat beside her on the lounge. His cock ached a protest, fighting against his pants. Gently capturing the side of her face, he brushed his thumb over her flushed cheek. “What an impudent nose you have, my beautiful Sylva. Should I kiss it?”
~~~

11) Part 91 ~

Sylva noticed he hadn’t said the year of his birth. She’d asked, wondering at their compatibility, by using numerology and astrology. They were both fire signs, which meant they would more easily understand each other’s natures. In the passion department, it meant fireworks, or one of them fanning the flames of the other. He certainly knew how to fan her fiercest highest flames. Of course, if they both exploded at each other in an argument, it could be a war zone of dropping bombs. Still, that depended on how their natal charts matched up. “We’re both fire signs,” she offered.

Zeke had wondered about her reason for asking. Now he grinned. He hadn’t wanted to frighten her with his actual age, given the life spans on her world appeared much shorter. “My darling little spitfire,” he crooned. She flirtatiously rolled her shoulders. “My tall handsome lion,” she sang back. With a light step she turned, taking his arm. Martha had discreetly moved across the parlor. Now she walked to meet them, a knowing smile lighting up her strong visage. “Is there anything you need, Zekie-boy?” Pausing, he drawled, “No, ma’am. Give my regards to Uncle Adam. Is Royce in town?”
~~~
12) Part 191 ~
Sylva reached out before she realized it, the sight of Zeke’s tanned masculine hand irresistible. Halting herself, she weighed the emotional pros and cons, a slugfest with herself... then covered his hand with hers. Tenderly, slowly, he turned his hand over, his palm meeting hers. Moments later, his thumb caressed, sweetness and sensual invitation. With a natural movement they clasped hands and Sylva wondered if she’d ever felt this magical glow with any other man. This lighter than air feeling. Yet, their connection was solid. Her closest description was when she stood on the Earth with only her bare feet.
Zeke surreptitiously observed the emotions flit over his Sylva’s face as she hesitantly reached out, then placed her hand over his. Quelling his eagerness, he darn well knew she was a filly who required a slow and easy hand right now. Dang, if the fireworks didn’t shoot pel mel through his loins and spike his cock. Especially as their palms joined and he stroked the soft full flesh close to her thumb with his thumb. Then, natural as you please, they held hands. As the bubbly flow of her essence filled him, he happily drowned. Zeke grinned, answering, “I whooped.”
~~~

13) Part 273 ~

Sylva welled up with a newfound happiness. No man had ever treated her with such care. She couldn’t help but hope it would continue. She smiled widely at her cowboy husband and made a silent wish he would see the appreciation in her eyes. Not that Sylva believed their relationship would always be so congenial and cozy. She had a huge feeling fireworks and not just passionate fireworks would occur at times, simply because she knew her own nature and she was beginning to understand how strong and highhanded he could be. Still, now was now. Sylva wanted to enjoy.

Zeke wandered around inside his Sylva’s brighter-than-the-noon-sky eyes with his gaze. “Did you get that, sis?” Tearing himself away, he glanced around at everyone. “Yep, got it. Mine and Grant’s are ordered,” she replied. Zeke grinned at Ranson. “What are you havin’?” Ranson answered with his own good-natured grin. “Long night ahead, looks like. I’m goin’ for a rare steak and all the trimmings. Plus, a good-sized mug of coffee.” Letting the menu roll back into a scroll, Ranson faced Zeke. “You and your bride will have to visit my home in the Smoky Mountains. Got some horses you’ll appreciate.”
