That Certain Place

The other day I took stock of some things. As I evaluated what has been happening in my life lately I got to that certain place. The place where I feel a sense of relief, accomplishment, and all around happy. This has been a really rough year for me. Had things happen this year that I wasn’t sure I would make it through. Now a few months later I am taking time to appreciate what happened and be thankful that I am here. I not only survived my belief once again has been proven. The way you are with others will shape what happens to you. Negativity or plain ugliness is such an unnecessary thing. No, I’m not saying you should be Pollyanna all the time. Just be an good person. A positive one as much as you can. Yes shit happens and life sometimes sucks but at least you are living. So live instead of trying to break others down. Build them up.

I have some really good friends and family who are there for me. Who stood by me when I needed it. Who gave me the support I needed. They built me up when my foundation was weakened. And I love each of them for it. There just being there was meant more than anything in the world. I am thankful for them all the time. I show them that I am and they do the same. Although they like to tell me I like to give instead of receive. This is something I work on. The ability to accept from others what I give. Support when needed. An ear to listen. Or a simple hand to hold.

These are all very basic things. An act of human kindness. In my case it is due to all the people in my life that I am here in that certain place. A certain place that lets me know life no matter the bumps in the road is there for all to enjoy.

Life Experiences Turn the Pages

How many authors use personal experiences in their writing? How can the reader determine which are personal experiences of the author or a fabrication of the author's imagination?

In my four published novels I have hidden personal sexual excursions, sexual phrases known to me, moments from my past and/or thoughts shared between me and my husband. But only myself and my husband know what they are.

I have to admit (and my husband will be thrilled to see this) that most of my erotic romance writings come from him. Deep conversations, moments of past intimacy and shared fantasies all play a major role in my writing. Although I will give credit to a local radio station and their "girl-on-girl" segment that gave me the idea to stretch my erotic genre to my first F/F novella. **Thank you Z93 KQZ for that**

But back to the life experiences that are weaved into my writing...

I find it fun, witty and exhilerating to add parts of my personal life to each novel I write. I snicker and think, "will someone really know I did this?" or "Would my innocent image be tarnished?".

In all honesty, I don't care. My private life is kept private...what I care to let others know is my own personal call. If a reader or fan figure it out, then so be it. But they'll never know the truth- it's only their speculation and assumptions.

Sultry Sunday- My Ultimate Fantasy From Years Gone By

I've had a sexual fantasy in my head since I was a high school girl. It's a moment in my life I've never experienced- and had only shared with one other person until this moment. I think 27 years is long enough to keep the secret- I'm ready to expose my deepest, darkest sexual fantasy to the world (or at least our faithful followers).

Even as a fifteen year old girl I think it was quite imaginative, romantic and sensual (keep in my mind at the time I thought of the fantasy I was still a virgin)...as a 42-year old mom of three- I think it's still do-able...with the right person.

As a teen growing up in the 80's I was addicted to hair and stadium rock bands (another li'l secret- I still am). Journey was my ultimate band. I could sit in my bedroom and listen to their albums (yes, albums) for hours on end and get lost in the bittersweet words, ear-catching rhythms and seductive voice of lead singer Steve Perry.

My favorite single from Journey was Open Arms.

"Lying beside you here in the dark
Feeling your heart beat with mine
Softly you whisper, you're so sincere
How could our love be so blind?
We sailed on together
We drifted apart
And here you are by my side"

That chorus just says love all over it. Words of love to me and my soul.
I've always imagined making love to that song playing in the background. Two bodies moving to the rhythm. Love connecting at every level (mind, body and soul). Steve Perry's voice serenading us on a hill in the lush green grass.

I know it may not seem like much of a fantasy- but it's mine. Simple. Romantic. Full of love.

For years the man in the scene was unknown...but now I know who it is. It's my soulmate. My best friend. The man I can share anything with and be myself. The man I've waited all my life for.

My fantasy man has a face, a name and will always be the center of my heart.

Sinful Saturday-Cowboy Love

Trolling picture sites for seductive, scoundrels is the rough part of writing historical western romances (*yeah, right*).Ahem.  Before I begin a book, I find a  visual representative of my imagined character.

Today, I thought I'd share a mini excerpt and the cowboy image inspiring sinfully sexy, Sam McCallister--my bad boy, bounty hunting hero in Five Card Stud.

Snippet:
“What do you plan to do with me?” Eden asked over her shoulder as she disrobed. Sam could see that she didn’t intend to play shy around him. That was good, because if she was waiting for him to look away, she’d be an old woman when she gave up.
“Plenty.” He worked the one word through lips almost as stiff as his cock. She was a sight to see and she knew it, standing there flaunting her wares at him.
“All right,” she huffed. Her words were filled with irritation as she stepped out of dress and chemise in one fluid motion. “Is that what this is about?” She sounded genuinely surprised when she asked, “You’re not interested in the bounty?”
Eden turned to face him as she gathered her long mane of hair, re-pinning it on top of her head. She stood naked on the rim of the rock pool, surrounded by torchlight.
Jesus, the woman's trying to kill me.  Savoring the creamy skin covering her slender curves, he followed the lift of her arm and watched her rounded breast tilt upward. Then, licking suddenly dry lips,Sam let his eyes center on the patch of dark curls at the V of her thighs and admitted gruffly, “You were on the top of my wanted list as soon as I set eyes on you. Handbill or not, I’d have claimed you.”

Flirty Friday

Flirting is a subtle and not too serious aspect of romance. It is a basic instinct to want to charm the other sex. However, flirting isn’t only for singles; just because you are in a committed relationship doesn’t mean you need to stop flirting with your honey. Flash an unexpected smile at him and watch his eyes begin to twinkle as he smiles back. Flirting can be fun and sexy.

Here are a few tips for singles and couples:

Body Language
• Throw sidelong glances frequently
• Prolonged eye contact -Eye contact is very essential at the time of flirting. It shows that you are confident about yourself.
• Arched eyebrows
• Winking
• Touch your neck or hair after looking at him
• Smiling - A smile not only breaks the ice and makes the atmosphere easy going, but also improves your face value.
• Licking of lips
• Touching the lips or teeth with tongue
• Thrusting breasts outward
• Mirroring or copying posture
• Leaning inward

Other Behavior
• Any form of touching
• Playing with hands

Conversation
• Laughter
• Whispering
• Personal questions, everyone likes to talk about themselves
• Singling someone out in a group for conversation and questions

However if you are single and you flirt, keep in mind that flirting should indicate your interest in getting to know someone. Flirting is designed to make the person you're flirting with feel attractive and special, not intimidated.

Take this quiz and find out how seductive you are.

Coffee with floor stripper ma'am?

One of my oddest memories of life in the Navy is discovering the true use of coffee. The First Class Petty Officer in my squadron's department handed me fifty cents and asked me to go down to the coffee mess (the Navy version of a break room) and bring back plain black coffee. I thought this was odd, because he never drank coffee, but I got it, walked back carefully so as not to spill it, and handed it to him.

He nodded his thanks, and then splashed the contents across the floor. While I stood there gaping, he gestured toward me and the other three airmen in our department. "Grab a mop," he said, and headed out the door.

My puzzlement must've been obvious because the others laughed and filled me in on the joke. The coffee in the squadron was strong enough to use as floor stripper. Believe it or not, it worked.

I didn't drink coffee for about ten years. Even today, I prefer mine weak enough to add a slight taste to the water, and then I add a no-calorie sweetener and plenty of creamer, chocolate preferably. With regular coffee, it doesn't matter how much sugar, sweetener, or cream/creamer I add -- I still don't like it. Too bitter for me, even when freshly ground and brewed. But using about 1/4 the amount of coffee and the rest hot water is perfect.

Life in the military taught me how to improvise and use whatever was handy to get the job done. I'll bet most of the readers here could say the same thing, whether it's in the military or civilian life. We had a saying tacked up on the wall in the department spaces and it still fits me today.

"I have now done so much with so little for so long that I am able to do absolutely anything with absolutely nothing." Even blog. ;)

X-Cerpt: BANGED UP by Jeanne St. James

Two scarred souls: one physically, one mentally. Both on the mend, hiding from their pasts…

Mace Walker can’t wait to get home.

Being buried deep undercover for the past two years, on the most complex case of his career, has torn him down physically and mentally. Now the FBI agent has come home to recover after having his leg badly injured from a gunshot wound. Arriving home late one night, his relief is short-lived as he’s faced with a stranger pointing a gun to his head, acting like he is the one who doesn’t belong there!

Colby Parks, a biochemist at the local university, had come to town a year earlier to escape an abusive relationship. She vows never to put herself in that situation again.

Then the perfect opportunity comes along: house-sitting for Mace’s sister while making the house she purchased habitable. But she couldn’t anticipate this big snag: the one wearing the tight Levi’s and worn leather jacket, looking like he had just escaped prison.

Being forced to share a house creates sparks between them in more ways than one. However, things take a turn when their pasts catch up to them, threatening to pull them apart forever.

Mace’s tongue barely brushed the edge of her ear, but just enough to make her wet. His thigh was nestled between hers now. When had he moved? His cock was hard andpressing against her stomach. She shifted her hips and her pussy brushed against his good thigh. She bit her lip and muffled the cry she wanted, so wanted, to scream.

“You look really sexy in that lab coat. Have anything on underneath?”

“Yes,” she hissed and twisted her head away.

He snagged her braid and turned her head back to him. His breath mingled with hersas he murmured, “Not for long,” against her mouth.

Colby melted against the desk. He took the opportunity to grind his thigh tight against her mound, just making enough movement to rub her clit. “Ah… What are yougoing to do?”

Mace ran his tongue over her lips, dipping it for a quick touch of tongues before retreating. “Do you want me to tell you about it first or just do it?”

She had to get control. She was a professional, for God’s sake. “Mace. This is a lab!”

“I know. I’ll bet it’s one of your fantasies, isn’t it?” He ran his hand under her lab coat and along her blouse until his thumb found one of her hard nipples. He circled, circled, circled, then pinched.

Colby’s toes curled in her shoes. She was going to come and she was still fully clothed. Not possible… “N-no. The door—”

“We’re alone.” He worked his other knee between her legs, making her spread them.

My God, she had to be dripping. Her skirt shimmied its way up to the top of her thighs the farther he spread her legs apart. He pinned her to the counter with his hips, thrusting against her once. Twice. His hands moved behind her thighs and he lifted her up so the edge of her ass was on the counter. He adjusted his hips once more so she could feel the length of his shaft against the soaked line of her panties.

“Mace … oh, oh shit … if we get caught—” Her heart thudded against her chest and her breathing was coming in quick pants. “This is not like the shooting range. I know these people; this is my place of employment.”

She tried to slow her breathing, clear her head, but the hard line of his cock was pressed in just the right spot.

“That’s the excitement. Colby, I want you. I want you so bad it hurts.”

Her thighs quivered and she felt a fresh rush of warmth between her pussy lips. “Your leg…”

“Forget my leg. That’s not what hurts.”

“Oh, God.” She groaned, “Mace…”

“I know, honey.”

He unbuttoned her lab coat and then her blouse. He nuzzled her neck, right at the delicate spot behind her ear, before unclipping the front clasp of her bra, releasing her breasts. Her nipples were so puckered and so hard they hurt. He lowered his head to stroke one with his tongue. A moment later he gave the other nipple just as much attention. The warm wetness combined with the rough texture of his tongue once again almost drove her over the edge. She dug her fingers into his hair and kept him there while he sucked one then the other into his mouth. Softly nipping, kisses quickly followed where his teeth had just been. She released a low, drawn-out moan.

This was torture. But torture never felt this good.

He impatiently pushed Colby farther back on the worktable, knocking her paperwork to the floor unnoticed. She wanted to protest, but when he slid a finger along the soaked edge of her panties, no words would come out of her mouth. And when he drove one and then a second finger deep into her, she gasped. To hell with her paperwork.

“I’m,” his fingers slid out and slid along her pussy lips, “just,” they drove deep again, “going to,” he curved his fingers deep within her, “take you,” he stroked that spot, “right here,” that sweet, sweet spot, “right now.”

Colby gasped and was going to come. Just when she felt the beginning of the
contractions, his fingers disappeared. Damn! He ripped her panties down past her knees.She tried to kick them off but they got caught on one ankle. She was in no position to fixthe problem and frankly she didn’t give a damn at that instant. She heard the zipper of his jeans then, Oh … the naked head of his cock slipped over her swollen clit, making her shudder. One tiny shift of her hips and he would be in her. He’d read her thoughts, he had to have her, because he suddenly shifted, instead sliding his whole hard length against her heated flesh. His cock was shiny and slippery with her juices.

“Do you want it?” He plucked once more at her nipples.

“Yes.”

“How much?”

“I—”

“How much?” he gritted out through clenched teeth.

Why was he delaying? “A—a lot.”

“You are so fucking wet. Lift your hips.” He leaned back slightly when she did.

Colby tried to grab his hips with her legs to drag him closer. But he was fumbling with his jeans which were pulled down his hips. The denim was framing his rigid cock, the dark curly hair and his balls so nicely. But she didn’t want to see how hard he was; she wanted to feel how hard he was. Inside her. “Now,” she moaned.

“Not yet.” He dug for his wallet.

“Now!”

“No.” He grimaced when the foil wrapper refused to tear open.

“Mace…” She snagged the condom, ripped it open between her teeth and impatiently rolled it over his hot, steely length, stroking while she did it. When she reached the root of his cock, she cupped his balls and squeezed slightly.

“Christ, Colby!” he panted. He fisted his cock once, twice. His whole body
shuddered in response. He grabbed her wrist, breaking the contact of her nails lightly raking his balls. “Fuck!”

He held her hips tightly, tilted them a little higher, and with a grunt he buried himself deep. The breath whooshed out of both of them. Colby forgot how to breathe. He kept himself buried to the hilt and made small thrusting moves against her so his balls teased against her anus, while his pelvis ground against her clit. The tiny thrusts drove her nuts. She had to come. She couldn’t take it anymore.

With a grunt, he said, “Hold on.”

“I can’t … aaaah.”

“Hold it…” He dropped his forehead to her chest and gasped for air.

Her heart was going to thump right out of her chest if she didn’t come soon. “Mace!”

He cursed, threw his head back while arching his back, and slammed his whole length into her again and again and again. Colby clawed at the counter, grabbing at nothing, and she let out a low wail.

“Now!” He came with force and her contractions drew him even deeper. He
struggled to catch his breath. His chest heaved against hers as he lay collapsed over her, the majority of his weight held up by his forearms on the counter.

He kissed her nose, her eyelids, her lips, before licking the hollow of her collarbone. She was sure it was damp and tasted salty.

“My God,” she whispered when she caught her breath. “That was a hell of a lunch break.”

Mace chuckled softly against her shoulder, still deep inside her. “Your food’s getting cold.”

Colby brushed the damp hair off his forehead. “I’m not hungry anymore.”

Dangerous research

I’m writing an 18th-century romp at the moment, and I’m finding that the only thing more fun than writing sex-in-a-chemise is researching chemises (and other things). Granted, research has a way of sucking up my time, but it’s all for a purpose, right? The dishes can wait: I must know about morganatic marriages and antique iron strongboxes right now.

The funnest part so far has been in taste-testing drinks of the day: port, claret, Madeira, sherry. I thought about trying to get my hands on some laudanum, just to experience the loopiness for myself, but el hubby convinced me that I might get into some legal trouble. Boo.

At any rate, fun as it might be, there is also a danger in researching, and in writing in general: what if I get it wrong? I’ve seen so many decent books heckled over nitpicks: chocolate and tomatoes in pre-Colombian Europe, Regency ladies wearing knickers, inaccurate modern police procedure, incorrect forms of address for titled folks. Can a book recover from such a flaw? Can a writer move past a humiliation like having her red-shirt tertiary character bleed out from a paper cut or allowing her hero to hack an alien computer with a wholly inconceiveable operating system based on bubbles? *wibble*

Personally, as a reader, some of my favorite authors play a little fast and loose with the facts, and I don’t mind one bit. It’s their stories, their characters, that draw me in, and I’m willing to forgive them a lot of research oopsing. As a writer, though, I guess I’m not comfortable enough with my own skills yet to cut myself the same slack.

And the tension – as well as the pile of reference books – mounts. Think I need an absinthe and a bubble bath to get my muse back on track. Only, absinthe is 19th c. Noooo! Very well, will apply head to desk instead.

(Okay, this post was only partially an excuse to ogle Johnny Depp in the bath.)

Sensual Sunday

This time of year brings rainy Sundays in my part of the country. It can be a welcome relief from raking leaves. Cuddling with my hubby, listening to the deep, steady beat in his chest thinking of how we hold each others hearts. We live in the woods in a log home; when it rains acorns fall on the roof creating an interesting symphony.

A cold, damp morning is a great excuse to stay in bed with your honey. Simply laying in bed sipping coffee and talking to a partner can be really nice. This is a good opportunity to get caught up on day-to day life and find out what is on the other person's mind or you can simply share each others dreams, hopes and aspirations with each other. Cuddling and talking during a cleansing rain filled day can be quite useful in a relationship, especially for couples who do not spend a lot of time together.

Have breakfast in bed while
watching a romantic movie in your pj's (or whatever you wish to wear) can be very relaxing. Be adventurous, pop something sexy into the DVD player.

Doing some sort of baking or cooking for dinner together can be rather fun. This can be a real bonding time, and many people will find the exercise quite romantic. The meal can be cooked together then followed by board game of scrabble while nibbling on desert and sipping wine.

A round of a simple game can be made fun when the winner receives a “prize” from the loser. If a board game doesn’t interest you, try a role playing activity. If choosing to spend the day in bed, discuss new positions or sexual play you’d both like to try and then …play!

Have a Sensual Sunday! I hope it's raining in your neck of the woods.

BRANDED BY THE TEXANS ~ New Print Release

Happy Saturday Sinning, everyone. My Western Erotic Romance Menage recently became available In Print at the usual vendors. So, if you’re in the mood for lustin’ and lovin’ cowboys who know how to win over the woman of their dreams... well, dang it, take off your dusty boots, put your feet up before the crackling fireplace, and do some private enjoin’!

~ Sliders Meets Bonanza Meets the Three Star Republic ~

BRANDED BY THE TEXANS

Blurb ~

What can three Texans do to a woman’s body and heart?
Kylie is about to find out.
Beyond her wildest dreams.
On a parallel Earth.

It’s 2009... Kylie is on the run from the law for a crime she didn’t commit. A promising doctoral student, she’s lost everyone and almost everything, except for what she stows in her car. Now, Kylie has to salvage the rest of her life. But, where in this age of GPS tracking, TV’s Most Wanted and cameras everywhere?

It’s 2009... Dillon, Dono and Dash are three brothers desperate for a wife to brand as their own. The Union made women scarce in the Three Star Republic by releasing a bio weapons’ plague during the border wars. These tough-as-leather Texans will do anything to keep the right woman, even if they have to lasso her like a wild filly and love on her until she loves them back.
~~~~~~
Story Excerpt ~
Dillon hitched his boot on the first rail and leaned forward, resting on his crossed arms. Swishing their tails, four of their year-old fillies munched on the fresh hay they’d been given in the morning. They were part of the next generation in the ranch’s breeding program to create the hardiest and best-looking stock.
Joining him, Dono and Dash keenly studied his expression, once they’d planted themselves.
“I don’t want to know,” Dillon forestalled any explanation. Looking away from his brothers, he eased himself by watching the fillies, yet kept Dono and Dash in his peripheral vision.
“We need more of a plan than just the garden,” Dono began.
“What kind of plan?” Dillon kept his tone neutral.
“You know that hole in the dimensional wall near Pine Springs at the gas station? I hear tell it’s still open.” Dash propped his boot up.
“Talked to Craig last Saturday,” Dono continued. “He says they still get vehicles with license plates and the people want to pay with credit cards. When they ain’t single women, he pretends to take the information and tells folks to make certain they get back on the main road the same way they came through town because a bridge is out.”
“Craig keeps a whole dang list of bachelors like us—”
Dillon shook his head, stopping Dash. “I’d lasso a woman for us quick as a rattlesnake strikes and bring her home. That’s accepted here. It don’t seem right when the woman is from a parallel world.”
“Hell, you could be doin’ the woman a favor,” Dash persisted. “Pamela says there were all sorts of women from her Earth who were looking for what she called their ‘soul mates’ and having no luck.”
“Talk about wanting a woman, big brother. How long will it take us to lure a woman here, even with the niceties? Right now, unattached women are scarcer than hen’s teeth.” Dono punched the fence plank, emphasizing his frustration.
“Yeah, and the fallout from the plagues has caused a low birth rate.” Dash kicked the dirt, barely stirring any dust from the low mountain ground of northwest Texas. “Besides, I don’t want no close-to-the-cradle bride. I want a real woman.”
Dillon dropped his head, staring at nothing. “Yeah, I agree. I want a woman not a child that still needs raisin’. What does Craig want from us?”
“Stud service for his two mares,” Dono quickly answered. “I know he’s been after our line for a long while.”
“Shoulda known. Dang it, they’re poor stock. What’s he offerin’ exactly?” Dillon raised his head and eyed his brothers.
“We tell him our general preferences, and he puts us at the head of the list for that type of female. One of us has to be within ridin’ distance of his fill-up station or someone else gets the call.” Dono’s gaze glittered with his desperate hope.
“It’s still faster than tryin’ to lure a woman here or canvassing the whole republic for a bride.” Dash used his most convincing voice.
“Let me guess, you two already told Craig our preferences.”
Dono and Dash nodded as one. “Just like we discussed,” Dono seriously replied.
“And how is this plan supposed to work? There are no roads to drive the Tesla or the trucks into Pine Springs. And the ranch don’t take care of itself.”
“We all take three day shifts,” Dash answered too enthusiastically. “It’s only half a day’s ride down our mountain path.”
“Besides it will give us a chance to make more barter deliveries to the general store.” Dono slightly grinned.
Dillon figured he knew that he and Dash were winning their big brother over. “You two got this all worked out, have you?” Turning at the waist, he leaned on the top rail again.
“We’ve been talkin’ a lot, figuring it out, yep.” Dash tossed back his long auburn hair. An unruly forelock had fallen over his eyes. “You’re not the only one loco and longin’ for a woman around here.”
“Must be true.” Dillon heard the dry retort of his voice. “Since you two got stud hormones that won’t be eased by pounding fists on each other. Promise to stop, and I’ll go along with this plan.” Dillon drilled them with his gaze. “Act up again, and I’ll stop it deader than a border raider’s blasted ass.”
“Wahoo!” Dash leaped straight up.
Dillon scowled. “This doesn’t get you two out of garden duty.”
Dono jabbed Dash’s ribs with his elbow. “Come on. She’s not gonna want a steady diet of meat, canned vegetables, biscuits and beans.”
Watching his brothers gallop toward the fenced-off plot with Maisy and Wayward hot on their heels, Dillon briefly shook his head.
One of the fillies, a chestnut he called Stargirl because of the marking on her forehead, approached and nuzzled his chest. He rubbed her gleaming neck. Her winter coat had fallen out mostly and she shone with a deep red color. “You’d make a good mount for a woman, my Stargirl.”
Despite his misgivings over the whole dang scheme, Dillon shrugged. He could kill two birds with one stone. They could all be on the lookout for a woman while increasing their trade with the general store. Their ranch’s tanned hides and smoked beef were always in demand. To their benefit, they’d stock up on needed items as well as purchase more of the luxuries. A woman would appreciate that.
SEXCERPT ~
...She slid against him in a dang erotic way he surely relished.
“How about your ankles, darlin’?” Dillon swirled his thumb over her outer ankle.
“Please.” Her voice was barely above the sound of the water.
Continuing to massage her foot with one hand, Dillon smoothed his other palm over her ankle. Dash watched him languidly stroked the sweet shape with the length of his fingers. Dono followed his lead using his thumb to lightly stimulate her sexual point, the one located below her inner ankle.
“I should be dreaming.” She sighed luxuriously. “I’m keeping my eyes closed just in case I am dreaming. Besides, those cowboy cocks of yours are looking for love already.”
All three brothers locked gazes with each other. “Lookin’ for love, like the song?” Dash fondled her ass with small squeezes.
“Yeah, the song. From a John Travolta movie.”
“John Travolta?” Dono cupped her ankle between his hands and massaged.
“He’s a well-known actor on my Earth. Oh, I like what you’re doing, musketeer cowboy. Both of you, what you’re doing.”
“There is no John Travolta, the actor, here.” Dillon gradually smoothed the heel of his hand up the water-slickened flesh of her calf.
“Mmmm…Viking cowboy. Who did sing it? I can’t recall on my Earth.”
Dash watched the shower spray strike his wife’s body forming rivulets that flowed over her delectable round shape. Heaven had definitely found him, and he wanted to stay. “Lots of artists here, honey. I’ve been known to belt it out now and then.”
“Mmmm… a singing prince cowboy.” Kylie moved against him, sensual as a big cat. “Oh, yes,” she moaned, “your hands are driving me so sexy-insane.”
Dono braced her foot against his solar plexus, then slipped both of his hands up her leg. Sweeping longer strokes, he massaged her calf, gradually including her knee.
Clenching her ass tighter, Dash slipped his thumbs over the tender inner flesh of her crack.
“Three against one. I’m liking this more and more.” Arching her back, Kylie pressed her butt against his loins.
Dash groaned. Of its own accord, his shaft nudged her twat’s petals, steamier than inside the shower stall. Controlling himself, he gently rubbed his cock’s head back and forth, and ached mightily to plunge inside her.
“Such a nice tease, prince cowboy,” she throatily crooned. “Yes, oh God, my thighs have never felt this good…Dillon, Dono.”
Nestling the crown of his shaft between her carnal folds, Dash took a look at what his brothers were doing. They massaged in different ways, fondling the entire length of her thighs.
“Kylie,” Dono darkly purred above the sound of the shower. “I’ll bet you’d like me pleasurin’ your nubbin.” Dono eased his hand over her curls. Cupping, he kneaded her woman’s plump mound.
Tightening her hold on his neck, Kylie uttered a strangled whimper and rocked her sex rose on Dash’s cockhead.
Dono slipped the side of his hand between her thighs. Teasing the cleft of her mound, he fingered open her female flesh. “I’ll bet you’ll like Dash puttin’ his big cock inside you at the same time.”
“Come here, Kylie,” Dillon commanded. “I’ll hold onto you and suck your teats.”
A needy cry escaped her throat, and Kylie let go of Dash’s neck. Leaning forward, she reached for Dillon. Her arms flew around his neck and she clutched him like a lifeline.
“That’s it, my sweet thang.” Dillon roved his hands over the voluptuous swells of her hips and the slender dip of her waist. “Dash’ll keep himself reined in till you want him real bad.”
Gripping her thighs near her ass, Dash spread Kylie as her legs loosely surrounded Dillon’s hips. Rearing wild with ache, he jabbed his cock’s head inside her slick little hole. Not wanting to take her too fast, he fucked her entrance and waited for Dono to do his special magic with her feminine bud. “She wide enough for you, brother?”
“Yep. I feel her. You’ve got the most exquisite nubbin, Kylie love,” Dono crooned, coaxing her to let go of any inhibition. “You like me squeezin’ it this way? Strokin’ this way?”
“Oh, please, yes…keep doing what you’re doing. Dono, yes, pinch me.”
Kylie squirmed on the hot poker that was his cock and danced in that cat-like sinuous way of hers. Dash stroked her inner thighs with his thumbs. More and more, he fell in love with the way his wife moved, with the feel of her body.
“Dang, princess,” he growled. “I want to melt the cream in your sweet pussy.”
“Yes, do it!” she cried out.
READER REVIEWS ~
Hi Savanna,
I wanted to tell you that I just read Branded by the Texans and LOVED IT! I really hope you are planning more books in the Three Star Republic.
I loved the seamless way you blended a historical western feel with a sci/fi-alternate universe reality. I aways enjoy pop references in a story as well (Captain Sisco and Chuck Norris comments). I'm certain I'll be rereading it many times in the future.
Thanks for the great read!
5.0 out of 5 stars Love, love, loved it!, August 31, 2010
By Judy L. Hauge (Lindale, Tx United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Branded by the Texans [Three Star Republic] (Siren Publishing Menage Amour) (Kindle Edition)
I know everyone usually says that they don't usually write reviews but in my case it's true. I love this book. As a Texas woman it hits to the heart of what a Texas man should be and want in a wife. The males were tough, strong, and dominant but gentle and calm. This went for their land, their animals, or their wife. They were rivers that wore away her resistance. This author was also able to insert into this book the political climate witch is brewing in Texas and put it into the story line to make the whole book seem more realistic. The only drawbacks that I could see was that the Kylie seemed a little too accepting of another "Earth" and the fact that she had been kidnapped, but she stayed true to the pioneering spirit of defending her man no matter what.
Flirting with Danger
Another interesting snippet of history for you today.
"Dalliance-Playful flirtation; amorous play" -Henry Fielding, 1749
Ancient Courtship
In ancient times, many of the first marriages were by capture, not choice - when there were few young women to choose from at home, men raided other villages for wives. Often the the clan from which a warrior stole his bride would chase after them, especially if the woman was attractive and could be bartered for a more favorable marriage that would bring wealth to the family. Sometimes it was necessary for the warrior and his new bride to go into hiding for a while. According to an old French custom, as the moon went through all its phases the couple drank a brew called metheglin, which was made from honey--hence we have the word--honeymoon.
Okay picture this--you're drunk in a cave with a smelly man you've never met before and this dude says you're his wife.
17th Century Courtship
Bundling was a 16th and 17th century custom that allowed courting couples to share a bed, fully clothed, with a "bundling board" between them. In addition they tied a bolster cover over the girls' legs (to insure they remained properly closed.) The idea was to let couples get to know each other in privacy under the supervision of the girl's family.
I'm thinking about being tied all night next to some of the less articulate and more obnoxious men I've dated. Ugh!
In the Nordic countries they had an interesting custom that involved knives. When a girl came of age, her father presented her with a belt holding an empty knife sheath. She wore that to signify she was available. When a man decided he wanted her, he sheathed his knife in her belt, announcing she was taken.
Wonder if any of the girls ever just skipped the preliminaries and cut the guy's throat?
1859 Definition of Courtship
"The females role in courtship is that of the hunted animal who lures her pursuer, not with the purpose of escaping, but in order to be finally caught. The male's role is to capture the female, overcoming her resistance by force if necessary."
Lovely definition of a 1980's bodice ripper.
I don't know about you, but after reading about our ancestors' courtship practices, I'm rather fond of today's standard pick up line--"Can I buy you a beer?"
Thursday 13- My idea of romance
Today's Thursday 13 is all about what I find romantic. It's not necessarily what every woman may consider romantic but these are mine. Everyone has their definition of what romance is, just as everyone has their personal preference of what makes their relationship romantic. I'm not into the cards, flowers, jewelry or gifts...I like the simple things.
After years of denying that I wanted romance in my life, I have decided to take back those words and tell you what I do find romantic. This list are some of the ideas I have experienced or wish to.
1. Quiet Sunday mornings lingering in bed listening to raindrops on the window.
2. Slow dancing with the lights low, holding the one you love close.
3. Little unexpected texts throughout the day that make you smile.
4. Long back and leg rubs to relax the body and mind.
5. That sweet glance across the room that only you and your partner can read.
6. The partner who takes it upon his or herself to do more around the house. Yes, dust if you must...I won't complain.
7. The partner who is understanding when I don't have time for lovey-dovey stuff but need to meet a deadline.
8. The partner who offers to do the shopping because he or she knows how much you hate shopping.
9. Waking up to find your significant other staring longingly at you as you sleep.
10. Curling up on the couch watching a movie together.
11. No words exchanged, just sitting on the deck daydreaming about the future.
12. Holding hands while walking through a parking lot. Plus the gentle way his finger/thumb caresses your hand.
13. Showering together. Soap, lather and bubbles- it doesn't get any better than this.
Losing Control...Yeah, baby!
As a writer, I’m always amazed when I tell other authors my characters tell me what to write...and some of those same authors look at me askance. And say something like, “Well, don’t let them” or “you’re the one in control” or “that’s ridiculous, if you follow your outline, you won’t lose control”.
Okay. I have a couple comments and questions—
Why would I NOT let them tell me what to write? It’s their story. Sure, sometimes I need to tell Mr. Hotness it’s time to rein in the lustful stares until he’s actually said ‘hello’ to his sweet thang. And more than once, I’ve suggested to Sweet Thang that perhaps she let Mr. Hotness say ‘hello’ and quit playing so hard to get. But all in all, it never hurts to see where they’d like to take the story. That’s what the DEL button is for.
Characters are like children. You birth them, help them grow. But eventually, a good mommy author gives them their wings and lets them fly. And just like real kids, sometimes mommy has to bail them out of jail when they make poor choices.
If you follow your outline, you won’t lose control. I disagree. The best stories I’ve ever written are the ones I lost control over. Not a loss of control like, OMG, I just hit a patch of ice and I’m sailing over a cliff loss of control. But rather, Hey, what are you two lovebirds up to…wait, this works! Usually it’s my mischievous alpha male hero who wrassles with me over control. Besides, why wouldn’t I let him try? He knows who has ultimate control over the DEL button. And it ain’t him.
I don’t have an outline. I know. Freaky stuff.
Writing is about creativity. I let (arguably) creative genius have its way. Sometimes I hit the mark, sometimes I even like what I write. And there are times when that stinkin’ DEL button comes in mighty handy, much to the relief of my writer friends who have to read my genius.
If you’re a reader in the midst of a captivating story, you’re probably not reading what the author originally planned. And I can guarantee you every single writer at Romance Writers Behaving Badly will tell you writing is a journey and sometimes the story takes detours, hits potholes, acquires a dent or two, has a flat tire but ultimately, it reaches its final destination.
